Eons (not really) ago, I came to get an honest critique on my then current website.
I tried to take most of your critiques and incorporate  into my newest creation. I'm not at as popular as BadCollegeGirl, but I do genuinely enjoy hearing what some of you have to say.

I have a love/hate thing going on with TER, but this website led me to world of companionship...and I'm glad for that. I'm loving my new side gig, and have been meeting quite a few awesome gents (I realize I've gotten lucky with my clients, and I"m really grateful for that), and amazing ladies.

Special, eternal thanks to justwandering69 for taking on the thankless task of proofreading my texts and for his content suggestions. You're a sweetheart.

The only suggestion I couldn't accommodate was that of MrFisher. I tried a large font, but it made the website look...kind of awkward (I don't know why, but my non provider friend told me it made my website look like it was from the early 2000s). Please don't be too displeased with me ;)

Anyways, if anyone wants to let me know what the like, what they dislike, etc I'd like to hear it. Again, I'm not dropping 1.4k on a Veda design until I have my content just the way I want it.

Anyways, xie xie, netizens of TER.

My favorite quote from saturnsky: "Being popular on TER is like sitting at the cool kid's table in the cafeteria at a mental hospital." Bwahahaha..

I'm glad you like the new website, since you know how much I agonize over how I present myself.

Now I just gotta remember to blog every other 3 days or so.....ughhhh

I think you write well.. I wish I could write that well (and I still can't) when I was 19.

My birthday was the 27th1 Didn't you hear? I'm a big girl now, hehehe...

If I'm going to be super honest, English isn't my first language. So, I usually have a lot of grammatical errors when I write, and need to be conscious of that. When I came back to the US, I worked really really hard to get rid of all accents and weird spellings I had accrued by living abroad. I'm glad that you think I write well, and that means a lot because it does take a bit of effort on my part. I love to write...I just need to remember my copy of Strunk and White, hahaha

I have posted suggestions for pictures several times...  Your pictures show you beautifully & are a perfect example.

Best Wishes,
HV

One of the reasons I don't like Wix is because you don't get to control hyperlink text color, and that blue is annoying. To everyone. When I get my expensive designed website, I'm going to be adamant about not having horrid text colors.

Thank you for you kind words on my pictures. I will make sure to let me budding photographer friend know her work is appreciated. :D I have posted her website (with permission) below.

Rose the way you have your pics on your site are perfect. I wish every lady modeled her photo section after yours. You have large thumbnails to begin with which is great, but then even those blow up to almost full screen size! Excellent! A++ for you on that.

The one critique I would make is that there is just so much text on your site. Personally, I would cut it back some, especially on the rates page. It's a little confusing. Remember some guys have 5-10 minutes over lunch to check out a few different women and if they get frustrated or overwhelmed with text, again specifically on your rates page, that can cause them to go right to lady number 2 on their list. I dont think it would be the end of the world if you didnt change it, but my opinion is less is best and the KISS method (Keep It Simple Stupid) when it comes to pricing. I prefer it when the lady just lists her rates in this type of format:

1 hour....$400
2 Hour....$750
3 Hour....$1000

Its just so much easier on the eye, the guy can get his info quickly and get to your contact page faster, which is what you want him to do afterall , right? All the text just slows that process down and in sales, you dont want to delay a "buying decision", so to speak. Let the text go crazy on the other pages as an expression of your personality and the guys that have time can go to town on that can. I really like reading that stuff after I set the date and just before we meet because I like to find "ice breakers" for convo starting points in there.

Overall your site looks very good and I wish you the best with it. Blue.

I got so freaking sick of guys asking me what the rates for different cities were even when I placed them in my damn ads, so I just posted my local rates and then a drop down menu. If he is too stupid to figure that out, and a few are...he can see someone else.

Even with this shit in plain ENGLISH, I had a guy assume that I would drive 2.5 hours and the rate would only be 400 because that is what the city rate was listed as in the drop down menu. I was like, "Ok, my NYC rate is 2 hours for 800, and you assume I am going to hop on a plane to go see someone for that?" Duh...it means when I am IN A CITY ALREADY, that's what the rate is you moron!

If a gentleman needs to cut right to the chase, so to speak, we are probably not going to get along.

And since I will only see people I think I will actually get along with, I think my site wordiness will weed out the people with whom I would have the least compatibility, don' you think?

Also, I have two four hour options at different prices. Without descriptions, I think it would puzzle people why that is. Tea Courtesan is less expensive than A Woodland Lunch/Dinner because a tea date is really just a treat for myself, that I would love to share with a patron, you know?

However, I agree with yout statement. If I was in the sex-only business, I think straight and to the point is the best way to go. But since I'm aiming to be a legitimate companion, well...you know :P

Just messing with you Storm. But the point isnt about making everyone happy. I think its about making the most amount of guys happy, isnt it? There is a specific reason why 90% of the ladies have their rates page in a similiar, easy to read/understand no frills lay out. It works! Its tried and tested. No need to experiment with it, imho.

Haha! No problem blue! Your opinion is totally valid of course. But I was just expressing mine. You are right that most ladies (but I don't know if it's 90%) have their rates in an easy to read, straightforward format (even if the math makes no sense a lot of times. lol) And if they are trying to get maximum site viewers to turn into clients, that's the way to go. However, I have also seen many sites like Rose's where it's done a little differently and those probably work when they are not looking for quantity of clients, but maybe more of a certain type of client. Anyway if it doesn't work for her, I'm sure she will change it later, as she is still new and seeing what works. For now, it seems like she put a lot of thought into it, before doing it the way she did.

She was just throwing it back out there for one more round of constructive critisism, I believe. Sure she isnt bound to what other ladies do. Not at all. Viva la difference! I was just making a point from 20 years of marketing/advertising experience. I applaud her for having the guts to come into this type of forum and subject yourself and your hard work to scrutiny. I am just not a "yes" man. She wanted honest thoughts, thats what I gave, and she will take things that make sense and disregard ideas that dont. I was just confused by some things she did. Others may not be. Overall, her website is very nice.

Personally, I just find the rates page is a tad confusing on a number of levels and a bit overwhelming. Its the only page I would "dumb down" so to speak. Just my 2 cents. Good luck to you!

And this type of site will indeed accomplish that.  The one and done johnnie boys won't waste a lot of time on this.  Which from what she has said is her goal.  She will accomplish that with this site as is.

But she'll also realize that many of the "top" courtesans create an allure...something that will set them apart from just the run of the mill hookers.  And from what I see thus far...she will be tweaking the site to try and accomplish that as well.

What will ultimately drive this will be the types of reviews she gets...they may not be on here...but plenty of other sites to post those.  And she'll find out pronto if there is a market that has an interest in her.  Until then...it's all just a wish and a prayer.

Good luck CR...If you were in ChiTown I would see you.  But then I have an affinity for submissive hookers.

Just curious...do you also have a site that is strictly for BDSM?  Many do (and do so with a different stage name) and sell that part of themselves outside of the hooker world.  Consider it...huge market for subbie gals.

Not really my style. So far, word of mouth has been working for me. Now that I am networking more, it just seems to get better and better. If anything, I get a lot of guys that are happy with my review-less state. It's worth it to me, to turn off some hobbyists, to get the guys I really want, without them, However, if someone wants to tell me about their experience, they are more than welcome too.

So far, most of my clients have sent me little love notes after the fact. I enjoy those very very much!

I'm too disorganized to have two different sites. That would also be very expensive.....I'm looking to give a wholistic experience, you know? So, to split my personality into two sites wouldn't be holistic. I am a submissive, and a courtesan, and a bohemian, and a nymph. So it all kind has to stay in one place.

There is a VERY big market for pro subs. There is also a smaller, nice market for sub courtesans. Then there is the ebony-sub-courtesan niche market! I'm making myself right at home where I am. It's cozy and I'm loving what I do.

I don't tour, but I'd be happy to meet if I swing by the midwest on a personal trip! SO1 has ties to the Naval Academy out in Chi, so I get to go a lot. We can meander around the Shedd aquarium! I love to see all the fish...it's like a fish highway!

I don't think I want them. But I have one client who wrote one on another site, and a "pending" one here. I think I'm going to get them deleted (the two I have are 9/9.5)...but I will see. Oi...so stressful.

So I will just say...God DAMN!!! Your hot hot hot!!!

With that out of the way, nice job on the site. Although I personally think its a great start, from what I have seen, your ever evolving...I look forward to Website 3.0.

Thanks for the compliments! I will probably do at least 3 new photo shoots for the new website, when we get to 3.0. I just need to the weather to warm up, because I don't want to go naked in the redwoods and catch my death.

exceptional and very informative.  I like the option of offering a 1 hr tea date.  That is a great idea!

My favorite image is the angled view of you looking out the window.  Suitable for a gallery.  This one: image1jhz

But ... that blue font color is BAD.

I really did read as if I was reading for real (not too fast, not too slow) and I didn't easily find where you are based.  I read something about Tea by the Bay ... but which Bay?  San Fran? Bengal? Biscayne? Back Bay (I'm in Boston!)? Green Bay (Packers fans?)?

I agree that the Endowment page takes a lot of (too much?) effort to get to the key points.  Maybe add a summary table (per someone's suggestion, above).

You request the use of the on-line form,  which many do not like and will not use but you do include an email address, which is good.  On-line forms are not as secure as e-mail. We don't know who processes your website traffic and who might be capturing and storing info as a regular part of website backup or other service.  Email privacy (yahoo, gmail, etc.) has some legal protections.  I hope you won't reject people skipping your form and going straight to email.

Anyway ... I am captivated.  Post to the NYC (I'm in NY, too) and Boston boards if you'll be traveling there.

Happy New Year and Good Luck!

PROOF that a lot (at least one: me) of the guys reading your website are idiots!

I found it ... "Based in The East Bay; Available Throughout the SF Bay Area"

But the page is so busy that I hardly noticed it, even tho' it was at the top.

Another good thing: No Flash!  THANK YOU!
