Bait & Switch...  ads with pictures not her own or seriously out of date or sends another provider

Runner or 'cash & dash'  Grabs the cash & bolts for the door.

Runner or 'take off' After recieving the cash, announces she left the condoms in the car, goes out to get them & runs.

Runner After recieving cash, does not have condoms, you drive her to the store, she runs...

Runner After recieving cash, does not have condoms, you drive her to the store, you wait outside, she tells the clerk a story (coersion, pressure etc) is let out another door...  she runs...

She promises/implies services which are withdrawn from menu after payment.  (This refers mainly to large scale changes)

The switchero  First review BBBJ, later customers CBJ.  (Check later reviews)

Reviewed:  Link to TER or other reviews.  Take he time to read the reviews.  Existance of reviews does not mean they are good reviews!

Up sell:  She collects payment & suddenly services are extra cost.

The Banker:  Asks for cash advances or loans, sometimes to be worked off or repaid in cash... then refuses your calls or disappears.

Thief:  When you are not looking, items or cash disappear.

Scout:  After appointment your residence is burlarized.

Blackmail A provider finds out too much personal information about you, and threatens to post or give out your information to who ever (job, media, family) in exchange for money.

She seems legit, you are getting "comfortable" and all of a sudden some big ape is pounding on the door or busting down the door and you just want to get out of there with your life.

Or girl or her thug block your exit and you aren't allowed to leave unless you give them all the money you have in your possession.

Or the ones where she is stalling for time, you may be undressed but she still has her clothes on, she is doing a little dance, strip tease, etc, mostly dressed. Outside one of her friends is breaking in your car and stealing anything and everything they can find of value. The session doesn't actually happen, she's stalled long enough that you pretty much know you've been screwed, you go back outside to find your car's been broken into and she acts like she knows nothing about it. (I read a review on another site where this is standard MO at this girl's incall).

I also read a review the other day where the girl took the money and then went to the bathroom and locked the door, and didn't come out - the guy waited 4 hrs and she did not come out. (said she had a computer and phone in bathroom with her btw).

Those scammers are very slick... they have the move all planned & can even be out the door before you can protest. There are some who should be in the Olympics... track team! Many of the scams work best (against us) on out-calls to your home or hotel room. Place the donation well into the bedroom, not near the door!

I should caution that it's illegal to physically lock someone in or physically restrain them... think kidnapping or unlawful restraint charges... we don't have to make ourselves look like an easy mark! This is supposed to be FUN! Again, well reviewed providers are the best bet for newbies & the risk adverse.

Feel Free to add any I missed!

This really should be included in the newbie manual, IMHO.

I thought getting let out the back door of the 24 hour pharmacy was the most creative...  The pharmasist was ready to call the cops on him when he finally went in to look for her.

I read a post recently where the guy asked for & got the donation back before the shopping trip.  When they got there, she asked for one bill to make the purchase with...  He gave her a 20 from his wallet instead.  Yes, she ran with the 20...  but just the 20!

Please feel free to add any I've missed!

the experience I one time had.
Years ago when I was a newbie I arrived at a sketchy motel for an outcall. Entered to find that the woman was not the one in the ad I responded to. I told her I wasn't staying nor paying and opened the door to leave. Standing just outside was a hulking ape who tried to prevent me from leaving without paying. I was scared but also pissed off by the whole situation and without thinking I kneed him in the nuts and head butted his face. He fell down with his hands clutched around his, hopefully broken, nose and I proceeded to try and cave in his ribs with my feet. At that point, his crew in the room next door poured out and proceeded to give me a beating it took me awhile to recover from. I might have been maimed, or worse, except for my luck in that a cop car happened by at that moment. I was taken to a hospital, released after being held overnight for observation, none of my attackers were arrested, and that was basically the end of the story.
The moral I took away from it all is twofold. One, do your research!!! Two, sometimes it's better to be scammed for some money than to put your life on the line. In hindsight I would much rather have paid a couple hundred dollars than to have received the beating I did.

Yes.  Thee are situations where the woman is not who you thought it was going to be.  Sometimes you just have to go with it because there might be a set up with her crew looking to attack you or some-type of future blackmail.  In my newbie days I think I was definitely a bait and switch victim on a couple of occasions.  I thought about trying to make a big issue out of it but at the end of the day, I realized that it might not be worth the repercussions.  Better to have some drinks and have a good time and take it as a lesson learned.  Super research is important though.

I suggested to admin that it should be added to the self help center.  They liked my suggestion, but as of yet, I do not know if they have acted on it or not.

I agree, well reviewed providers with reviews by experienced reviewers are the best defense against scams, rip offs & etc.  I guess this is by way of explaining WHY that recommendation!

There are exceptions where it might make sense to pay a deposit...  like travel expenses or a large time block reserved (over night, weekend, an extended night of dinner & dancing).  But in general, deposits leave you open to be ripped off.  You pay the deposit & she suddenly becomes hard to reach or ignores you all together.  There's no way to force compliance.  You can't legally contract for an illegal act.

Added to the list!
