how does one get references ? Is there a etiquette for asking a provider to be a reference? If she's through an agency do I ask them?
Obviously I need to get some references to play

First, you of course need to have proven yourself to the provider you wish to be a reference that your conduct justifies her vouching for you with other providers.  A good indication of that is that she's told you she'd love to see you again, and/or has white listed you, and/or OKed you on P411 if you're both in P41.

Second, before I ask a provider to be a reference for me, I help her out with a positive review and/or a Friday shill.  She's going to take time to help me so I think it's only right that I help her.

And third, with one exception I've always seen providers at least twice before I've asked them to be a reference. The exception was a provider who tours a lot, I saw her when she visited my town, and I needed a reference from her before she'd return.  I also wait until I've seen providers at least twice before I ask for a white list or P411 OK, but some providers have white listed me on their own initiative after just one date.

I expect you'll get some replies with other approaches here, but that's how I've handled references.

One etiquette that is often overlooked is to always ask each time you want to use a gal as a reference so that she is not blind sided by the request when a provider contacts her.

It is pretty rare for a gal to refuse a referral request, so no need to fret about it as long as you follow the advice here.

Ask the providers you have seen for a reference just don't provide their name and contact info before making sure it is okay to do so.If you need a reference from the agency you would speak directly with the agency not the provider.
Also keep in mind there are some providers who will only provide a reference for a gent for a specific time period i.e. 6 months-1yr.

consider starting from scratch. Maybe join a referral service like P411 and then see a few newbie friendly providers in your area so that you current ladies to ask to be a reference for you.

Good luck.
