So be sure to erase and hide anything incriminating on them.
Smiling too much when you come back from your "walk", might be a give-a-way too.
Are you parking your car during the session anywhere where your wife might see it? That's what screwed me up for good once.
Welcome to the hobby. I'm glad you are having a great time with it.
I am a complete newbie. After 37 years of monogamous marriage, I decided to try the hobby. I had 3 massages in the last 2 weeks. Loving it. Would like to stick with the massage as long as possible. I have found a provider service that has 6-8 girls working. Everyone is prescreened. I pay in cash from a slush fund. I only have to call one number and a man would answer. I am retired, so sneaking out for 2 hours is easy. Based on TER users's experience, what might trip me up from keeping the secret. Thanks for your help.....

A hubby or boyfriend that don't want to get caught need to understand the technology of computers and wireless phones. If using a computer, in addition to deleting emails and emptying email trashbins and sent bins, find and delete cookies that get posted to the computer hard drive, look for and delete any incriminating temporary internet URLs. A cell is easy to clean, but smartphones should be treated like computers, with more extensive cleaning required to cover tracks.
might somehow slip and tell someone else and before you know it, the word will get back to the wifey or SO.
best advice here..right now I have not been with a provider(maybe dating one lol) but anyway NO ONE KNOWS about it except
Get a hobby phone, turn if OFF when not in use. Erase sent/recieved calls. Hide it well.
Get a free hobby email account... not linked to your main account. Only use it for hobby.
Set computer to delete cookies, history, etc on shut down. Never turn over an "ON" computer. Accidentally shut it off if necessary. Run antiviris/anti-spyware programs often.
Do not access adult sites when anyone else is in the home. I keep the TV off so I can hear someone arriving home.
Do not use Eazy Pass or Credit Cards anyplace you are not supposed to be. ie: buying gas in next town when you have no reason for being there.
Slush fund is good plan... keep enough pocket cash so you don't need to make cash withdrawals that match absences.
All good tips. Another small one: If you use Internet Explorer, there is an option called "In-private" browsing, where it does not use or keep cookies or history during your browser session, at all. The way I get to it is I open a regular IE window, then click near the top to open a new browser tab (in the same browser window), then a blank browser tab opens up with a few options. One of the options on the right is "Open an In-private browser window," or something like that. Click that, and it opens a whole new browser window, with "In-Private" in blue near the upper-left corner before the web address. Now, nothing you do in that window will be tracked, and no cookies or history will be generated from that session. For extra peace of mind (and also so I don't get confused) I also close the original "not private" window that I had open.
You can tell the "In-private" browser feature is working, because it never auto-completes the web address for TER (because it kept no record of your past visits), and it never remembers your login names or passwords (for, say, TER and your hobby email). So you have to retype that stuff every time, which is fine with me. I certainly don't want someone else sitting down at my computer trying to check www.theeasterparade.com or something, and suddenly getting www.theeroticreview.com auto-completed in the address field.
BTW, manually clearing your cookies and history is a good idea too. "In-private" browsing is just another layer of protection.
This idea is fantastic! Thanks for helping out non technological savvy newbies!
Erase your browser history, get a disposable cell phone, and carry out you hobby activities on someone else's network access (no tracing the URL). To wit: I live in a small subdivision, and there are multiple unsecured wireless networks available compliments of my doofus neighbors. For hobbying, I use a computer I paid cash for (and did not register) to contact providers via email, check TER, and to top off my phone. I keep all hobby related items locked in my gun safe, to which only I have the combo. Never engage in hobby activities when anyone else is home and could walk in on you and your computer.
Fill up you gas tank before you leave town if, like me, you have to drive some distance to see a good provider. Pay cash for everything on your hobby trip (no need to explain charges for gas or food from far away), and erase your GPS if you used it at all on the trip. Don't park your car where it will be visible from the road and be recognized. Given the choice between a blue Chevy sedan and a bright red Corvette for your transportation to the appointment, choose the former. Dispose of all receipts, such as fast food or gas BEFORE you arrive back home. Shower before you leave the lady's room, if at all possible. Dress well and act like you belong so as to avoid being stopped by the front desk at the lady's hotel. I also like to keep a list of excuses/destinations I've used in the past, both to keep my stories straight, and to not overuse a reason to be absent for several hours.
Finally, and repeat after me: TRUST. NO. ONE. Don't tell anyone about your hobby- not your brother, not your best friend of 20 years, not your co-worker, not anybody. Should you see anyone you know in the hotel, avoid or ignore them. By following simple precautions and doing your homework on the ladies, you should be safe. Unless you happen upon LE, but that's always a risk in this game.
Paranoid, maybe, but why take changes...
thanks to all for lot of ideas..I would like to share some of my ideas that may help some...
My wife and I use Microsoft explorer and Yahoo e-mail as our standard.
So I downloaded Google chrome browser. In addition, I did NOT create any shortcut OR create an icon on my desktop. I launch the Google chrome directly from the Start menu.. This way no one knows it is even there. In addition, I use the Incognito window. If you save favorite sites, they are only saved to Google chrome and do not appear when you use Microsoft browser. You can use other browsers the same way.
Then I opened up a g-mail account.
Since I am retired, I only make appts only when SO is at work.
I only have to make sure of NO STD...
Thanks again....
