I feel like I am coming down with a cold, and I have a date set for tomorrow night, would it be best to just play it safe and cancel now, I've felt like this before and always end up with a cold, thinking the early I cancel the better, any thoughts on what others do in this sitauation? don't want to cause any issues with the provider and her schedule, but don't want to pass on a cold, thanks for the info, i'm still very new to all of this.
If you are sick it is best to cancel than to go through with the appointment and make her sick. She might not be too happy about the cancellation but if you are sick I am sure that is something she wants to know. Good luck!
During the winter months, with all the travel and trade shows I do for work, I usually catch a few colds. I always cancel at the first sign of a cold. I give as much advance notice as possible, usually days in advance, not hours. Almost all the time, the provider thanks me.
ask you to get back in touch if it turns out to be a false alarm. That's what a provider told me a couple of weeks ago when I felt a cold coming on. (Alas, mine wasn't a false alarm. lol)
And if you suggest rescheduling once you feel better, that should smooth over any skepticism about your excuse. In any event, 24 hours plus is plenty of notice to cancel.
