1. As a provider I value my safety before anything else and I appreciate hobbyists that respect that by sending the entire info I require especially references. When I don't have to ask and they include them in the first or second email I know he is not a newbie. But what about the new hobbyist? How do you ladies screen him? Guys, when you were a newbie how did you get through the screening process?  

2. As far as donations, I just wonder why some guys (a lot of them actually) would call or email and have no idea what my donations are although they are clearly listed on my ads and my website! Whats the point of that!

...a provider is girl friendly and will see me. Only upon confirmation of that do I submit needed info. Otherwise it's a waste of both of our time.

I was extremely fortunate in that a wonderful and well respected lady who I had met in another life recognized me here on TER and vouched for me. She became my first playdate. It opened up this hobby to me and I never looked back. I know that there are others who weren't as lucky as me and who struggle with getting their first provider to see them w/o any references. For them I advise signing up with P411. It makes it all soooo much easier for newbies and veteran mongers alike.

...you'll tell them a lower rate than what is listed in your website.  They know your rate - they're just hoping to catch you in a benevolent mood or their ultimate goal - to find a provider whose back is up against the wall because the rent is due.

I saw a number of ladies who I contacted via initially via email, some were established, and I don't recall giving them anything more than my first name.  No references, no phone number, just those two pieces of information.  Some asked for more data and I gave it to them as long as I was comfortable with it and they were real providers.  These days, P411 has been a huge help with the process.  Only once did a lady want even more than that.  Her requirements were outside my comfort zone and I withdrew my interest.

Men, being visual creatures that we are, will sometimes go to the photos and never review any additional data.  I know I review a ladies entire website before I decide. As another stated, some may ask hoping that "because the rent is due" that she'll give a donation lower than what her site or ad states.  

A couple of my first experiences, the lady's just asked for name and ethnicity and work info.  A simple picture of my business card was ok.
I didn't see too much risk involved, since I would pretty much give out my card to strangers all the time.  

We know what your donations are. I like to be completely clear on the donation before the appointment. ( no surprises and no upsell)
Sometimes, I have heard that the ads or website prices are old and not the current rate. As a businessman, I appreciate clarity and honesty in any agreement or transaction.

I recently helped out one of my favorite providers and it was agreed on taking that sum off of our next meeting.  When the time came, (about 3 weeks later) she argued the amount that I fronted her.
I then sent a copy of the receipt. (WU)  
She apologized, but when I wanted to be clear on the cost of the next meeting, she bumped up her rate, and would not honor her current special on her website.  I sent her a pic of her current ads and she said it was a holiday special and wasn't doing it now.

So basically, it cost me a couple hundred bucks to lend her some $.
And I got a way worse deal than I think I should have.

I did see her and had a great time. But that will be the last time.
(Its just bad business) lesson learned.

Men are pretty much black and white.
We want a quality experience at a fair price.
We don't like surprises. (Extra charges)
I will spend as much as I can, but there is a limit.

The business card idea is not bad of course, but sometimes is not only about what the man does for a living, is about his behavior with a provider. I have had once a guy telling me he was a lawyer and proved it by LinkedIn. Come to find out he practiced law in the past. He showed up at my incall and he was so freaking weird. He looked intoxicated maybe on E or some other drug, and I don't do drugs! In fact he asked me if I would do "anything" I said "no why do you?" he replied "oh yes I do some of everything". He took care of donation and all but I wasn't able to relax, he was just weird and very "cold". I would never see him again and I wish I had a reference from him maybe they would have mentioned he was crazy.

As far as donation goes, only thing I can say is quality comes with a price tag!

For me, it usually takes some time to gather up the funds to enjoy a couple hours of fun with a quality provider.
Also, I don't have as much free time for myself.
So when I finally do get to play, I want it to be drama and stress free.

Your site. In my experience the girls have different rates listed here on ter and on ads. I just assume the higher rate applies and don't ask, however.

1) When I was a newbie, before I had any idea what TER was I mainly used agencies. The next step was references and or personal info or work info. Some ladies I visited didn't require any references (CL/BP, etc.)

2) Not knowing you or seeing your ad I would ask is there a difference between any of your rates between different ad sites. That would be the only thing I can think of that may provoke a client to call and ask if they are clearly stated.

That's happened to me twice. Both times I ended up not seeing the provider.

2 years ago, a woman whom I'd already seen a couple years back was in town. Her old rate was 300. Her new rate was 500. Her website said that prior prices would be honored. Her newsletter said that prior prices would be honored only if you'd seen her within a year (I hadn't) but everyone else was eligible for a $100 discount. So that's 3 different prices. I was smart enough to ask, I was eligible for the $100 discount. Ended up not seeing her because traffic made her late getting to her hotel and I did not have time to reschedule the days she was here. Part of me would've liked to see what would've happened if I had shown up with 300. Technically, if that happened,  I didn't short her. Her own website says prior prices are honored. Not my fault she didn't express herself correctly.

Another time, last year, there was a provider I wanted to see while I was on vacation. She had  a special, before 10 AM rate.   There were 2 websites created by her with a $50 difference. I emailed her, she let me know one of the websites were old and that it was being deleted shortly. The website was deleted shortly. Didn't see her because she stopped communicating. I emailed to confirm our appointment, didn't hear back. Emailed again, no response. Ended up seeking out another provider since I didn't hear back. Oddly enough, the day after I wanted to see her, she did text me that she was available. I'd made other plans by then, but if I did see her, I would've expected her to honor her before 10 AM rate

Starting out it was tough.  I joined TER in 2012 without a clue and without two references which most providers require.  I'm highly selective on who I want to meet, so it's common for me to contact only 1-3 providers a month and be rejected due to lack of references.  Then there's the several months I'll just take off.

On being verified, I always offer my employment since it's easy to do and in all honestly name is all over the Internet within my industry.  I'm not hard to find online with the right keywords (I pop up everywhere including publications, etc).  But, my first provider was really sweet as she knew it was my first time.  She told me she was okay with me because of how I communicated.  It was a nice compliment.  I'm pretty straight forward and she appreciated it.  The only thing she did was verify my employment.  We had a three hour session.

Other providers have verified me through searching my name and profession, requesting a business card photo and once a photo ID (asked me to cover up the address).  But, there are certainly a few providers I would love to see, but they have a strict rule on two recent providers.  Problem is for people like be who may take 8-10 months (or a year) off...recent providers doesn't work.  That being said I'm always respectful of their requests.  I figured it doesn't hurt to ask and I've had a few providers (who require two references) verify me even though I didn't have two recent providers.

This 100 times over...theres another review site where the guys advise each other to wait to contact someone until around the first because she's more likely to give discounts.  I learned the hard way in the beginning that giving discounts hurts you in the long run so I'm just really careful with my money now.  I'd rather eat ramen for a whole month than give discounts.
