CL and backpage aren't the culprits

As a newbie provider, I've found my best hobbyists on CL and backpage.  I have one review (on a different site) and I generally don't ask anyone to review me.  Refer me to a friend if they think I'd like them, yes; review, no (but mainly because I don't think of it).

I met with an escort for the first time tonight and would like to share my story. This is my first post here but I have been reading for a little while. I'm 21 and am located in south jersey.

Her name was "Jenni", it said her age was 20. That second ad mentions her name and gives the same number. It also says "we are not an agency".

When I called her and talked on the phone around 6 and we arranged to meet at 10. I tried to think of a discreet way to ask how much it was and asked what the donation is and she said 250. To my surprise she arrived being driven by a big african-american man who dropped her off. The pictures in the add showed no face but I was positive those weren't pictures of her. I don't know how to put this in a nice way but she was very unattractive. I tried to have some conversation with her but she seemed to just want to get down to business. She said she was 24 when I asked but she looked at least 30. She also said she was in an agency which I figured when I saw she was dropped off by that man. She talked very slow like she was high on something and looked the same way. Her body looked nothing like the picture, she was kinda chubby, pale, and had stretch marks. She said I had to give her 100(on top of the 250 I had waiting on the table in an envelope). I finished after about 20 minutes and she seemed like she really wanted me to hurry up. It sucked. Right after she wanted to leave. She was only here for about 30 mins. So much for that hour. Overall it seemed like the bare bottom of escorts, nothing like any of the reviews I have read but I guess thats what i get for using backpage to find them. I really didn't want to do the screening/backround check or whatever that most agencys require; I don't want them calling my work that they say they need to call to confirm or whatever.

Please give me some advice for next time and where the best place is to find ads. I want an independent girl, not an agency. I couldn't find much on this site for south jersey. Thank you very much for your help.

Do your research on here.  Read the reviews and look at the profile pages.

Find a lady that has accurate pics, has what you want available on the menu, and has at least 10 consistently good reviews.

You shouldn't have any problem finding a lady that will meet or exceed your wildest expectations.

As far as the screening or background checks, one way is to use a verification site like P411 or RS2K, Datecheck, whatever.  

If you do the verification process, they are not going to be calling you at work to annoy you are harass you - they are going to be discrete.  They just want to verify that you are who you say you are and that you work where you say.  If they are going to call you at work, have them tell the receptionist that they are returning YOUR call.

Remember, this is supposed to be fun.

Now you know why everyone says to stick to well-reviewed providers.It's a must. The only other thing I can tell you is that you are going to have to submit to at least some screening if you want to see anyone decent. It doesn't always have to involve work info, but you are going to have to give something.

found here.  You will see many posts with everyone saying, newbies should only see well-reviewed providers.  

You were a victim of both upselling and B & S.  As a 21 yr. old, you will need to find a provider who specializes in showing younger guys the biz.  Good luck.

Ok...now u learned it.
U should always search through TER and find ladies who has high reviews about them.
Also, don't even bother to CL or any other craps..(It's garbage!!)

The best thing is search TER or Date-check and read their reviews...

really? Considering that there are a lot of females from this site with good reputations, who post on CL and Backpage, I think it's a little ridiculous to generalize. Hell I've seen men complain about women who only advertise on TER and who are well reviewed.
There are no guarantees in life and like every other industry, you have decent people and you have assholes. He just found an asshole.

OP; you're going to come across some bad eggs in this "hobby", sucks but it happens. Women being on this site doesn't guarantee perfection or chemistry. Considering that I've heard a lot of women talking about fake reviews being posted to their profile, that pretty much tells you that you can't trust everything that you read.

Your odds improve is you research TER before you book a date.  You NEED VIP to read the reviews.  They are as honest as we can make them, realizing that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  But a lady with several good reviews, but reviewers who have multiple reviews, you should get a good idea of what to expect.

Most providers who take their craft seriously have web sites which tell more about themselves & give a few pictures.  This is much better to a one photo on an ad.  I'm not concerned with face shots but I want to see her from several views which is less likely to be a stolen or out of date photo.  

You should read up on incalls (I prefer) rather than letting a stranger into my home).  Hobby phones.  Secure e-mail (separate from your day to day account.)

I have to agree with you, skb.  VIP is SOO worth it.  For a particular provider I was recently researching, I read her 100+ reviews before VIP, so I could read the "general details" only and then bought VIP and then went back and read all 100+ "juicy details".  Now I feel considerably more comfortable contacting her (and also considerably more horny ;)).  The "juicy details" are really important.  Would you hire someone just based on a resume?  No, you would check references and conduct 2-3 rounds of job interviews.

Sorry if I sound like an advertisement for VIP membership, but I just want to emphasize that it should be on every newbie's checklist.
