ask for references from the guys and make those phone calls to verify the guys. Do not depend on blacklist websites because of too much lying and bullshit that goes on those websites.

When one of those references tell you he was blacklisted, and gives negative feedback while the other reference gives positive feedback. being able to see what he was exactly blacklisted for never hurts in those type of situations
