To tell you the truth, these days many people use two cell phones, one for work and one for friends and sometimes others for specific reasons (like the hobby.)

In general, all hobbyists and providers should have a phone used only for that purpose and nothing else.

Google "hobby phone" and you'll find all you need to know.  I'm new at this, and just got an ATT Go phone, and it does the trick.  Only use it for this purpose.  Which means you'll have to keep it hidden, if you have a SO, and clear all traces of calls, etc.  But, it should work for you.

imagine SPS carrying around two cell phone, it does feel like something you have a split personality.

It really depends on how much call volume you get from your regular phone, Ideal you want a phone for hobbying and being a SP, but if times are tough you can get a vitural number then transfer if to your regular phone, just make sure you check that caller ID before you answer.

Great for the hobby.  Bought with cash, refilled with cash cards.   I switch phones on my belt when involved in play activities.  If I retire from the hobby, there are no records to bite me in the butt.   I put my hobby phone away when not playing.

Get a prepaid tmobile or att for the business- actually its safer that way in my opinion.

Well for the ladies it is absolutely important to use a separate phone, unless you want everyone to know your real name and where you live. Information that is easily obtainable on the internet.

Many people have more than one cell phone, one for business, and one for personal use.  If you have an SO, it would behoove you to do same.  You don't give out the hobby number to anyone except providers, so who would know about it????  Your friends, relatives, and other contacts only know your personal number, not your hobby number.

I don't have an SO, so I don't have a secret hobby phone.
