Help!  I'm trying to make an arragement, but the contact wants references........and I ain't got none...is there anything I could/should do/say to get around this.  I understand the reasoning.

Suggestions??

1. Search for this question, it's been asked bunches of times.
2. See somebody that doesn't require a reference.
3. Tell her what you just wrote here, and ask if there's other info that will put her mind at ease.

However, they ask for a lot of personal information (real name, home phone, employer, work phone, etc.) to verify that you are not a psycho or LE.  If you are willing to work with this, you have a chance!!!  It never hurts to ask if there is another way for you to gain her confidence.

It is very simple really, she asks for 2 references cause that is the quickest way to verify that you are ok. In leu of that, just be straight up and offer her any info. she needs to verify the same, if you are married she will respect that, but give her your real name, job, etc. and let her check you out for her safety. All reputable providers have the same huge concern, are you going to harm them in any way.

Anyway, simply referring her to my website solved the problem!  She simply said "if I become uncomfortable for any reason I will end the appt"...which I think is reasonable!
