Can providers or agencies find out our username even if we disable whitelist?

The white list itself is disabled and not revealed but my username still seems to show when I try searching myself using my own email...

Maybe this only happens when one searches for oneself after already being logged in as the person being searched... and not for others.

is if she finds out your TER handle, so take pains  to never reveal it if you desire anonymity.

You do have to be careful however in writing your review.

Let the time frame max out to the full 90 days so that she will not remember you easily, and change insignificant details as well.

Also, if you post on the boards, do not give out any personal information about yourself that could allow a provider to suspect who you are.

I wanted to know if people who know my email address can punch it in the 'search email' search feature in the whitelist area

and subsequently find my TER username, even if I disabled the 'whitelist' from showing up.

A bit of a subtle difference there. :)

Not exactly a newbie question cuz I know darn well how this site works and technically skilled enough to figure things out on my own. lol What I've been trying to say is that there is a potential PRIVACY ISSUE with the whitelist search (see link below) unless I'm mistaken. Wanted to find out if it's just isolated to the user themselves or widespread.

The white list does not show if you disabled it, any idiot knows that. HOWEVER, YOUR USERNAME STILL SHOWS (Enter your email in the while list search below and you will notice your username revealed in huge fonts, even if you disabled whitelist from showing.)

So, as I was saying, is this just a glitch where your username only shows to yourself.

OR is it a bigger problem where your username is revealed to ANY member who has your email?

The latter would be a concern

I can confirm the same result. I AM logged as me, which might be a factor; I searched the email I have on file with TER; there I am with my whitelist list.

This makes me doubt that someone else can do this, but I would not rule it out.

Why not use a separate hobby address - different from what you use for TER?
