viewed by the general public. D.C. has been around longer and is more popular in another region
while P411 covers more and as providers we have a choice of the types of memberships we choose to
contact us. But D..C. also shows the same number of OK's just as P411 .

Is there a significant difference between date check and p411?  I'm a date check member and was wondering if I'd find different providers or different types of providers on p411.  I've noticed that some providers are on both, but p411 claims some providers profiles are available to members only.  Not sure if this is true.  Any light you can shed on this is most appreciated.

Check the answers from London, swimtrekr and myself.

For your specific question there are definitely provider profiles that are available for members only. The provider has a choice of making her profile "public" or "private."

Personally, I appreciate P411 far more than date-check, hands down.  That's from a provider standpoint but several of my clients ONLY deal with providers on P411 due to their screening process on both ends.  I HAVE had issues with one date-check member who has been running a scam with several providers (and he has multiple male and female identities elsewhere) and no matter that those providers have notified the powers that be on date-check, he  is still an active member (despite the "not recommendeds").  Have only ever met one viable client on Date-check and lots more on P411.

P411 does let the providers indicate on their profile if they are newbie friendly.  I don't think DC has that provision, at least I have not seen it there.  Other than that, it also depends on your location as to which site is more popular than another.
