We just had a situation on the Chicago board where a lady's profile was somewhat hijacked by another provider (the 'real' one was out of town, and another started posting ads on BP, linking to her profile, and pretending she was her but using a different phone number).

Another question is how old were the reviews? How many reviews did the reviewers have? If these are all reviews by hobbyists who had reviewed only that lady, then the fake could be possible as I've never seen it on TER. (those that TOFTT are usually experienced, so one of the first three should have quite a few) If the reviewers have reviewed multiple providers, I'd say PM the most recent reviewers and see if they can offer some explanation. I'd just go with the line of wondering if you both saw the same lady since there is such a difference as you say.

I would really appreciate some perspective from those with more experience.

I had my first appointment with a provider. She had about 10-12 reviews on this site, all very positive. However, this was a HUGE disappointment. she was considerably heavier than in her pictures and her performnace was pathetic. I understand the YMMV concept, especially since I know I'm not exactly the best looking guy in the world; but this woman had no idea what she was doing. One of my worst experiences with a woman overall.

Anyway, the question is, could she have made those reviews up, or had some friends maybe post those reviews? It seems like a lot of work, but there is just no way those reviews are real.  Has anyone had a similar experience?

Bob, sorry for the bad first experience. I would encourage you to look for someone with 4-5 pages of 8s and 9s, and also look carefully at the reviewers history. If the lady you want to see only has 1 page of reviews and almost all of the reviewers only has 1 or 2 reviews that should raise a flag.

I can only speak for myself but I've not been disappointed since finding TER.  One must read the detailed reviews with care.  A provider I've been looking at, has great picts...  but are apparently her...  more than 5 years ago, now has tats, heavier.  I scratched that one!

I'm no longer a young stud...  paunchy middle aged...  but my choices seem to be able to deal with that & give nice performances.  I choose MILFs as my theory is younger providers expect a guy to be more "push button" than a guy my age where some effort is required.  

I can't say that there might not be a fake review floating arond out there, but TER has strict rules about reviews.  Checks IP addresses (can not post a review from same IP as provider).  So it is less likely that ALL reviews are fake.  

Before my TER days, I was disappointed...  the picts were not the girl I was with.  I suspect more than one was using the identity (possibly roommates).  

Now some guys like a well padded lady...  Is it possile that your turn off with the weight issue affected the performance?

Before you book again, I suggest you PM the most recent reviewers & politely ask if the picts are current & in a general way, if they were pleased.

Also a victim of others grade inflation.
You will see MANY reviews that say "she was heavier then her photos". This is common.

It is a good idea to review the reviewers. Some guys will give a 9 to a purple cow. I have found that deducting 2 points from most of the reviews puts me on a better and more accurate plane.

As far as the YMMV, it is difficult to comment on that aside from saying it exists for many reasons.
