I made my first post on this board, wanting to get started as a provider but having no goddamn idea how. If it weren't for you wonderful people, I probably would have ended up getting myself into some trouble and out of some $. I still have plenty to learn, but I've learned so much from y'all and have been making some serious dough and having a blast doing it! I am forever indebted to you folks (you know who you are) for all of your invaluable help and advice, and I'm eternally grateful. Thank you all for everything! :)

Any time girl. You've clearly made your way as a provider, a business woman, and a friend to many. I am happy to know you. :)

I think you are one of the most successful results of the newbie board! I remember your first post and many subsequent posts. Many of us still steer new providers asking for help to search for those threads as they were "epic." It was fun watching you grow so fast and see how far you have come from that first post! And to me, most importantly, you came back and said "thanks" (numerous times too!), and you have come back with your experience and helped other newbies. So many folks come by and ask questions, and disappear. Sometimes common courtesy is missing. While swim and his highly unpaid assistants are always willing to help all newbies without anything in return, I'm sure I am not the only one here who appreciates being appreciated every once in a while. A simple thank you goes a long way!

You are a class act Tobi Telford. Happy Holidays!
Aloha!

Dear Ms. Telford:
I was just wondering in the course of a year how have you evolved as a provider and a business women? What are some of the things that you would do over again and what things wouldn't you do again? Also how would you rate yourself as a screener and what are some things that you would like to master as a businesswoman and a provider? Although you are respected as a hell of an associate by your peers, what do you think you need to do to have you Bachelors in the business?

Okay, let me try breaking these down by each question:

1. As a provider, I wouldn't say I've "evolved" all that much. I try to be myself as much as possible and it's working out pretty well. As a businesswoman, I have really learned the importance of projecting the image of myself that I want to portray, and that includes investing in things like upscale hotels, a professionally designed website, etc. Don't get me wrong, though, I learn new things every day and still have plenty more to learn.

2. Considering the fact that I knew NOTHING about screening when I started, I'd say I've come miles in that regard. In fact, a lot of potential clients change their minds about seeing me because my screening protocol is so thorough. I think the most important thing I've learned about screening is not to rely on just one tool to verify someone.

3. I'd like to work on my organizational skills and my patience. I can be a bit scatterbrained at times. I still regularly turn to Professor Rayne for tips & tricks. She's the bomb. :D

That's what this board is for, to help those starting out.  You are still welcome to ask questions here, and you can help us answer others that ask stuff, if it's something you can help with.

been around a while have to say.  The same advice is given to all who ask; what providers or hobbyists do with the advice is the difference.

Congratulations on a very good first year. Now, if you come to Florida on spring break, you can experience a true BFE encounter.  :-)

You know, patience is the ONLY damn virtue that can only be mastered by "going through?" That's right. "The only way we become patient is to keep going through the same crap that annoys us over and over and over and ooooooover again, until we finally get to the point where it does not bother us (Joyce Meyer, 2009)." LOL.

Unfortunately by the time they got around to me, they must have run out, because I didn't get much.

I believe in moderation as long as I can "get enough of it" and that patience is a virtue as long as I can have it "right fucking now"

One of my favorite songs!  Especially the lines...

"Well she'd held a bass guitar and
She was playing in a band.
And she stood just like Bill Wyman,
Now I am her biggest fan.
Now I know I'm one of many who
Would like to be your friend"

Ditto to what PS said!  Can't say it any better :-)
