Before I had referrals...

I gave a link to my professional profile on my company website.  It has my picture, name and other info which is available to the public.  I felt my first few providers liked knowing what I looked like.  There was instant comfort upon my arrival.  Once you have had a few good encounters with highly rated providers, they tend to communicate well with each other about referrals and all goes smoothly.

If she is well reviewed and professional, I would not hesitate giving her the info she needs to feel comfortable.  If on the first contact she says "come on over" I would be leery.

I've contacted a VERY well reviewed provider for my first time and she has asked for some information for screening purposes. I completely understand this, but I'm just curious as to what the typical screening process entails.

Will she call my office? If so, how does that conversation typically go? How else do they use the information I give them to screen me?

I really want this to happen, but I have a lot to lose and I'd just like to know a little more about the process.

Thanks in advance.

If she is well reviewed then you are probably safe with the info that you gave her.

There is no "Typical" screening process. Some girls will require that you have one or two references from other local providers that they personally (tough to do your first time out), others will accept your TER handle if you have posted some reviews or are "White Listed" (where a provider vouches for you as a decent guy and posts it on TER. Some will simply say come on over.

If she askes for you name, where you work and a work phone she is trying to determine if you are a cop. She has as much to lose as you do.
Yes, she will call your office and ask if you are in. As long as someone verifies that you work there she should be happy. She will probably not ask any other questions from your work.

Bear in mind that many providers use a Screener, including lots of independents. In most cases you are not talking to the actual girl until you pass.

If you are looking stick with the hobby stay with the well reviewed girls. See one a few times to build a relationship and aske her to refer you to one of her friends in the biz. No, she will not be offened it is part of the job, plus she will get a referral fee from her friend. Ask her to White List you on TER.

I hope that helps.

Good Luck

I couldnt have said it better my friend. Another great idea is P411 That always makes things somewhat easier, although i am sure most smart gals will still ask for references, employment and previous providers. Starting out can be trying for newbies on both sides!! Thanks to all for continued support, :) Belle.

i have yet to have Independant give me a referral fee. I have a new policy... i don't have any friends

Djm011:  just subscribe to a screening/verification service like Preferred411 or Date-Check, then you won't have to go through this agony again.

My screening service (P411) called my organization using a fictitious company name, just to verify that I actually worked there.  There's a one-time yearly fee (P411 is $69).   Once P411 verifies you, they'll give you an online account.   Then you can simply give providers your P411 account number--you're already screened.

Another nice feature: providers who have already seen you can give your account  a 'Provider O.K.'.   Kind of like a seal-of-approval.  It helps when a provider you've never seen before can check your account, see that you're screened, and also see that a half dozen other providers have given you a 'Provider O.K.'  --z

although i have said it would OK many times.

A lot ask the best number and time to call.

One lady said to me "I don't want to rock the boat".

They have all been very discrete.

Both date-check and P411 said and did call me at work. They where both professional sounding, ask the person who answered for me without giving anything away, and than check that I was the person who opened the account. the whole conversation lasted less than a minute.

I hope that helps

If she is well reviewed you wont have any problems.  In my case I like to give her a name and scenario that fits my workday.  This way her call is not out of the ordinary.  In my case I'm very hard to get to, so my staff has been instructed to let Ms ---- from ----- through.  Very simple.

I'm self employed, so I am not sure how I could be verified. This has actually prevented me from making 'the call' to try a provider. Instead I have gone to a few massage places, which was ok.

How would a provider handle this? I do have a website of sorts that has some information on what I am doing, but it has my pen name (I use my middle name as my last name for my writing work).
