Try to select well reviewed providers whom reviewers rate highly for their reliability.

That's about the best you can do.

Did she ever return a call to explain what happened?

Hello All.  Today had another experience of making arrangements with a provider only to be unable to contact her upon my arrival.  Normal 2-call procedure of agreeing on time with me to contact once I was in the area.  So made the travel....but never actually saw her because she never answered the phone.  Kept trying for about 45 minutes, including leaving a voicemail for her to call me back, but she never answered and has never called at all.

I'm sure others have experienced this, and wonder if anyone has thoughts/recommendations on how one can set up a session with the provider having follow-through on the time.   Though I love hobbying I cannot afford to waste time and travel to locations only to have no experience.  

Sorry for length, but appreciate any thoughts.

but it was back in the day (not so long ago) when I didn't do my homework and tried to hook up with someone from BP or CL. I actually did succeed once and she was pretty nice but also quite new to business.

I went a year and half without a stand up....last 6 months it has happened twice.  both were well compensated ladies that I had seen multiple times.  The truth is something better came along.  Dont take that personally, it could have been anything, party, date, some other form of play.

One had a modern auto and "had car trouble".....also had phone trouble as she never answered or called.  three days later I get an e-mail "hoping we can get together soon".  This was outcall and I drove 60 miles each way and rented hotel and waited.  Needless to say I dont call her anymore.  The other said that we never "confirmed" so she booked another appointment.  Called BS and sent her back the e-mail exchange.

Tom, your not always dealing with the best business people....there's a reason they are doing this and not running the office.

Sh*t happens...I once had my mother drop by un-announced 20min before a client was to arrive...

This is why I do my call system
I give them my number and tell them to call 30min prior to our scheduled time. If something comes up they didn't drive out to my location or waste gas.  PLUS I don't like giving my address via telephone or e-mail for my safety.

Lately I've had to cancel a few times on some new clients, it sucks! I know how it feels to be canceled on at the last minute but I feel if either part does a "no-call-no-show" then the person AT LEAST owes you a good explanation! But sadly some providers have many clients and don't care...

best prevention is to see well-reviewed ladies who are established in your area.  Some touring ladies sometimes change plans if the dance card doesn't fill-up and "forget" to inform you even if you have been confirmed.

My advice, if you need to rent a room for an out-call appointment, is to have a plan B and plan C just in case.  It sucks to have spent $ for a hotel and not have any fun.

I've read here that some people think it's not just canceling a trip or incall arrangement due to underbooking but that some providers deliberately overbook in case a client cancels last minute. Of course, that means if no clients cancel, someone gets bumped.  

But the part that gets me is the NC (no call) part.  At least answer the phone or call back and say that something came up.  My first NCNS was from a well reviewed provider I had seen previously. Leaving out details, I was panicking that she had been kidnapped (last contact, 20 minutes early, she was in the hotel - mall complex) or arrested or thrown out of the hotel or who knows what. PLEASE, tell me you're canceling but at least put me at ease.

I don't want to hijack the thread but NCNS also creates problems for guys who bring gifts. My first experience with that was with something that I, personally, didn't have use for and didn't want to have with me or have to explain where I was going after my appointment (it was something feminine and sexy and not my size). I had to dump it. Another time, I at least toned it down to some edibles. I ate some and gave the rest away.
