If someone is interested in becoming a private provider, where are some ways to learn more about the non-sexual side of the business? Marketing, protocol, etc. Actually, the sexual side too....for all the acronyms and what they mean! Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!

There's a "self-help center" under the life preserver in the newbie discussion board. It answers a lot of questions

The best thing I can tell you is to read everything there is here on TER starting with the Self-Help Center. The Self-Help Center link can be found on the upper right of the discussion boards (Self-Help Center in teal colored font) under the red and white life preserver. Click on the link it takes you to a list of links here on TER. Click and read each one including the ones that are aimed toward hobbyist. You will find a lot of info about how TER works, how to use it, and how to approach this from the provider viewpoint as well as the hobbyist.

Also read this board (the "Newbie Board") many questions have been asked and answered repeatedly. Read back several pages. Check out the search function on this board. Click on the large dark "Search" button fill in the authors name. Change the number of days to 180. Look for posts by BadCollegeGirl (the author). You will find she has about 8 pages of posts. Go back to the first ones which would be on page 8. She asked a lot of good questions and received a lot of good answers. Reading all of that will be very helpful to you.

Welcome to TER. Be sure to ask questions here if you don't understand something. You may want to read the discussion board for your area. Deciding to post on any board but the newbie board is up to you but reading many boards would be useful. The newbie board is the friendliest and the place to get information.
