Looks like you are 1/2 way between STL & KC, you could host in either or both cities.

Meeting for a drink doesn't bother me as long as it doesn't take time away from the session.

Once you have a website and you are reviewed, you can get a profile on TER. I do not even LOOK at BP ever!

Doing things right is never a waste of time. Only then will you find out if you can be profitable providing.

I'm sure there is a market niche for your type, but in order to stay competitive you need a good marketing strategy. If your city doesn't have a specific board you can post in "other cities". As far as taking time off the clock is not a bad idea if that would make you feel comfortable but keep in mind that it should be only done for new clients.

As long as you have a classy website, clients will not confuse you with lower class ladies - and if they do, you just ignore them. As long as you have good screening procedure in place, you'll rarely (if ever) have to meet any of those guys. In your situation, backpage will probably reach more people than any other venue.

In the meantime, you can also advertise on EROS, which is generally perceived as "classier" than backpage... and you can develop a posting presence here on the closest TER board to you, and advertise on the "other" board.

You can get started with a free website, but I would guess you will have to bite the bullet somewhere, paying for a more professional site, advertising on EROS, etc.

Until you get reviews or until your gentlemen followers know where you are. I lived in the area(Columbia) for a short period in my youth,(made $$ at the infamous truck stop shining boots wearing a tuxedo and a smile @ 16) and it reminds me of the college town I reside in now, only It has a beach instead of plain lands. I do get requests, offers, and appointments from TER gents, but most of my friendly clients come from my BP ad. I reside in yet another college type town.

I thought your post and question was well written.  While the Missouri discussion board is pretty dead, the Missouri Ad board is not, so that is a good option.  Another option is to join P411.  There are several ladies on there from Columbia.
