BBBJ - STD Fact or Fiction question

This morning I read a posting, on my local board, where a Hobbyist alleges to have contracted an STD while enjoying a BBBJ. He further stated he was taking antibiotics and would be fine.

I consider myself an fairly educated realist whom has lived life believing that "You can't catch anything from a BJ". I only pursue FBSM and BBBJ based on that premise alone.

Please, ONLY those who have direct knowledge of this post a response. None of us need any myths, wifes-tales or speculations on this topic. (pun intended)

Thanks!

C.H.

There are a some STDs you can catch from BBBJs. Herpes is the first that comes to mind. There have been numerous posts on this subject both here and on the national board. Do a search and you will see some good referrals to references and websites.

Maybe you're a realist, but I find it hard to believe you're educated.  Simply check your grammar in the very sentence in which you make this claim.  And, YES you can get STDs from BBBJs.  Think about it.  If that wasn't the case, there wouldn't be a provider who could stay in business if she only offered CBJs.

Jjackflash,

No one likes a "wiseass" and this forum is specifically designed for new Hobbyists to become more educated.

You will have to forgive the comma and take your argument to one of the couple  of degree's now hanging on my wall regarding being in contempt of any alleged education on my part.

Your perspective may be appreciated by some on local boards, however, not at this board.

Cheers to Hobbying with more information as opposed to not.

yeah you can get STDs from BBBJ.  But there are ways to minimize the chances of getting them.  If possible, try to use some rubbing alcohol immediately after the session (in the shower room).  Also, try to pee right after a session.  According to the local clinic (where i get tested), the easiest thing to catch is ghonorhea, which is curable.  Herpes is not curable and easily spread as well.  I hear you can get herpes from a person who has a simple cold sore.  I am assuming simplex one can become simplex two?

No, Herpes Simplex Virus type I (mostly infects oral cavity) cannot become Type II (infects genital area), but it CAN infect the genitals too (during oral sex).

Actually, a quater of new herpes genital infections now is from HSV Type I.

The good news is that HSV Type I gives less frequent flareups, than HSV II. The bad news is it's there till you die

Good old gonorrhea is curable - usually.  There are many extremely antibiotic resistant strains out there - and for syphillis as well.  Bottom line:  be careful.
