Bait & Switch!!!

So as you know from my previous posts that I quit the agency!! (only agency i ever worked for and started hobby with, so i thought that is how it was suppose to be until i joined TER)

Well, here is how the agency worked,
i get sent to the clients home/hotel..
I collect 300 and check in,
If the client doesn't tip then i was to leave with the 300..
ok it worked trust me..
they said that every hobbyist gets tipped at least 300 = 600 total or more! (im used to gfe for no less then 1200 hr/600hh and never nude show unless 800+
I did well with that but most guys were ticked off unless they were high executive and didnt care!!!

Now that im indie!  I am seeing to expect A LOT less for an hour which is ok since 100% goes to me!!

The bottom line is that i'm looking for your opinions on this!  How to adjust to the new donation amount!!
Not to mention how i can find my regulars who would pay just $2k+ just for an hour to hang out (that is what they wanted

What you described above is called Upsell.   Bait and switch is when we expect one lady and someone other than who we expected shows up. Both are despised and frowned upon very highly.

As far as what you're expectations are, that is totally dependent on you to decide.  Factors to include location, how often you wish to entertain, other overhead expenses and most importantly the type of experience you are willing to provide.

I will say this, it is wise for you to determine the type of experience you are willing to provide because upselling will most certainly put a huge crimp in things.  Once you're reviewed and someone mentions Upsell in that review, many will just move on.

Unless you are a solid 10/10, then I don't think you'll get too many followers.

Typical hourly rates for indies, in any case, are in the $300-400 range/hr. with discounts for multiple hours, and that normally included FS if not more.

I don't use agencies, but my understanding is that they charge similarly.

at least in Beantown... Looking at P411 ads, it is now common to find $500+ quoted.

All for a good cause :-)

Thank you all so much for the opinions!  I in every way was against how the agency had me working with the upsale!  I'm a kind straight fwd woman.  And it was hard for me to follow their rules.  I'm super excited to be on my own!!!

How much of the $300 would you get to keep?  If the agency is keeping the majority, I can totally see why you would want to walk if you weren't getting anything for it.   Although, as a client, I would prefer to know what I am getting into.  I guess disclosure is the key.  I can see the appeal for the consistency if an agency can provide that.  And that does have value if you're a busy person

I was extremely busy! their #1, but for the last 4 months i haven't felt so broke in my life!  I'm not broke according to the general public budget, needless to say!  But they took half. and half of the tips!!  I stayed really busy so i didnt mind!! Now that i have been doing research and learning on TER to be indie!  I totally get why most client would be pist at me.  The agent and their up pricing!!

a GFE time.  Tipping is optional & not to be counted on.  Tipping varies with the clientel, of course.  The client is expected to bring the correct amount.  You'll have expenses (hotel rooms is you offer incall) but there will be no split with an agency.  You'll have to allow time to do your own screening.
If you have a following, you might be able to make this transition quite painless for you.
