ask for cbj?

Is it insulting to ask for a cbj from a provider who normally offers uncovered?  What are the preferred covers?

I don't think anyone would be insulted, especially if you are forthright and nice about it. Why would you want to, though? It's highly unlikely you could get something from a BBBJ. See this link, for instance:

Have to agree here.

A hummer without the latex doesn't scare me at all.

I am still a little worrid about DATY though....seems like you could get a nice infection in your mouth....Thoughts on that?

Yes or no to STD with DATY

I've been doing DATY for many many years, both on Civvi girlfriends and providers.  I've never had had any infections in the mouth/throat other than strep pharyngitis - and that didn't come from DATY, I assure you!

That link is referring only to HIV -- and just about all experts agree you can not get HIV from oral sex or DFK.

Other STD's are passed through BBBJ and DFK -- herpes, for example.

You can also get a few others that can be cured with antibiotics (not herpes of course).

Presumably, the only risk of getting an STD with a CBJ is if she gets a little sloppy and saliva ends up on other parts of your body (including being transferred to your hands and then to your mouth).

When I see other guys talk about BBBJs I either assume they already have herpes or dont' realize this.

I'm actually shopping around for my 1st experience with a provider, and I think I'll stay away from BBBJ. Just doesn't seem to be worth the risk. I mean, I hate condoms as much as the next guy, but still. Herpes is a bitch. And since I'm not a dentist, I don't think I can ask her if I can check out her mouth for any cuts :) I'm also interested in TS providers so might take some chocolate flavored connies. Can a person use his own or use what the provider supplies?

Don't be naive.  A condom does very little to protect you from herpes, as it can be spread from skin to skin contact.  If she has herpes and it's shedding (and often this is not visible) then any non-covered area of YOU can and probably will get exposed.  So your johnson doesn't get exposed but the rest of your groin does - and then it spreads to your pecker anyway.

Hi guys I just asked this question in another previous thread and after much reading here on the issue,I am not willing to risk it either and swear by FCS only!!! Here's another helpful link for all those living in denial on the issue-http://www.medinstitute.org/medical/STD%20overview/OS&STD.htm
I tend to agree with BoredInCT's last remark,as it seems alot of men here are either clueless or just don't give a damn, thinking it's only the providers problem. Personally after hearing all the bragging on the BB issue going on here,I know I'll never think of it again!!! Hobby Safe:)
