Are most providers a lot like wine?regular_smile

In looking at many of the TER reviews, it seems
many providers have been in the hobby for quite some time. Is it reasonable to assume that they age like a fine wine-not in personal appearance but in there skills in providing services to their clients? Or does the enthusiasm and eagerness of the young 20 year old overtake the
complancy of one who has a large fan base and is
possibly 30 years old?
What age group of providers is likely in the
highest demand among clients?

Here at the results of a TER poll from awhile back:

WHAT AGE DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A PROVIDER
23%   18 - 21
27%   22 - 25
20%   25 - 30
18%   30 +
10%   Don't Care

First, let me state that I freely admit to being a numbers geek from time to time. I also suspect that sometimes I perhaps have too much time on my hands.

But I digress. A few weeks ago, the tail end of a lenghty discussion thread brought up the notion that mature providers tended to provide poorer service. Others on the thread disagreed. Out of curiosity, I did some searches of reviews, and came up with some numbers about it. I never did reply on the thread though, because by that time the discussion had gone way past the point of being useful. So I let it go.

At any rate, I searched for all profiles for ladies aged 18-30, and then did a search for ladies aged 31 to 45 and up. Then I searched among each age group for reviews averaging from 1-4, and reviews averaging from 7-10. I left out 5's and 6's, since I was looking for a comparison of positive versus negative reviews, and 5-6 could arguably be labelled neither bad nor good.

Anyways, here is what I found:

18-30: 52,935 total reviews
18-30: 6,252 reviews averaging 1-4: 11.8%
18-30: 30,021 reviews averaging 7-10 56.7%

31-45+: 11,972 total reviews
31-45+: 1,267 reviews averaging 1-4: 10.6%
31-45+: 7,082 reviews averaging 7-10: 59.1%

So basically, mature ladies have a slight edge over younger providers, but the margin isn't huge, and probably wouldn't work out to a significant variation.

So, to answer your question, there is clearly much to be said for the eagerness of the young, but there is clearly also much to be said for the experience of maturity. At 33 years old, there is no doubt in my mind that I know comsiderably more today than I did when I was 20-something - but I'm certain that even then enthusiasm filled whatever gaps experience had yet to bridge.

Because if they are average overall Numbers, they may be very deceptive as the "Looks" number could be dragging down the "performance" numbers on the more mature providers.

Wow, Thanks for all of the detailed information.
It would have taken me several weeks if not months to gather all of the data that you presented. Another great participant on the
Newbie Board !!!

schedule a double session with one younger, one older provider... both of whom have approximately even reviews, and try to make a determination that way?

I'm game.
