Hello all! How does one go about deleting their profile?
I've dealt with graphic (legally liable) reviews, exaggerated reviews and even fake reviews. I just don't think it's in my best interest to continue to be a member of the review community, unfortunately. How do I delete?????
The "recommended way" is to contact Admin and politely ask to be delisted
A much faster and more effective way to get yourself delisted is to announce a "no review policy" on your ads/website, then file a problem report on yourself and voila, you'll be delisted in no time.
If a provider has a no review policy she will automatically be delisted. As GaG said, that is the quickest way to get delisted. Right now you sort of have such a policy, but I would call that a "no review suggestion." Here are the words from your website:
"I ask that you refrain from discussing the details of our encounters on public forums or review boards"
Why don't you just change that to something like: "I do not allow reviews discussing the details of our encounters on public forums or review boards."
Then copy that line and send that into TER on a "contact us" form, or problem report, and ask to be delisted. They will do it, because having a no review policy is automatic grounds for delisting. They may even do it with your current phrasing, but like I said, to me the words "I ask that you refrain" is more of a suggestion than a policy. Admin may look at it differently.
Simply asking to be delisted as GaG and impposter mentioned usually does not work. They will tell you if you want to be delisted from TER you must also take down your website and all of your ads. If you are "listed" anywhere on the internet, you can be reviewed on TER, with the exception of a no review policy or violating TER rules.
Providers have been voluntarily delisted when they retire, or for reasons like having a stalker, or legal issues, custody battles, things like that. However they had to remove their websites and ads also, which makes sense. Removing reviews while leaving up websites and ads is not an efficient way to hide from legal issues or stalkers or prove that you are retired.
Think about your decision as impposter said. Are you sure you want to do this? If so it is actually really easy.
No review policy=automatic delisting.
Other providers have been tempted to leave a "scorched Earth" legacy when they leave TER, with a bunch of "fuck you's" that can't easily be taken back if you ever decide to change your mind about being listed here.
I too urge to think long and hard before leaving here. I understand reviews in general seem a bit intrusive and fake reviews in particular must leave you feeling violated, BUT you have great reviews and I can't help but believe your reviews are at least partially responsible for a lot of guys contacting you. There are a LOT of providers to who I would simply advise "don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out" but you seem to be a quality provider who goes quietly about her business of making guys happy. I think it would be our loss and yours if you decide to leave us. The decision of course is yours, but personally I'd like to see you stay, and I am one of, if not the BIGGEST assholes on TER. lol
Whatever you decide, I am sure I speak for many here when I wish you nothing but good fortune.
Don't burn your bridges!
Within the past year or so, a couple of well-known Chicago ladies have delisted.... and then have later returned. I don't know any of the details or circumstances, just that they asked to be delisted but are now back.
So it is possible to change your mind, assuming you didn't go out in a blaze of glory.
Ma'am,
Once you have thought this through and identified your issues and concerns, consider exploring a few workarounds or mitigation strategies. For example, say one of your key concerns is your safety. Maybe you feel that a reviewer mentioned services that you don't provide. There are several ways that other ladies have worked around that issue that could be considered. Can you sufficiently eliminate or mitigate risk and give yourself piece of mind?
