If I did, I would first see if she is reviewed on TER.  If so, and the reviews are good, and she has at least 6, I'd say OK.

If few or no reviews, it's a crap shoot.

You can increase your odds by using Google photo search to see if the photos are real, and also if the phone number comes up legit.

In some areas of the country, BP is the best or only ad site available to the gals. In other areas it can be a cesspool. The key is research. Don't just pick a gal based on her ad on BP (or ad anywhere else, for that matter). I agree with mrfisher.
Look if she has reviews here or other review sites. Google her name, phone number, email address, and anything else you find in the ad. Use google image search to check the pictures.

Yes, there are a lot of scams there. (Bait and switch, robs, LE stings, real ladies who just give poor service, etc) but there are some gems too.

I know of several very reputable providers that use BP to advertise.  As was already mentioned, the area of the country might make a difference.  And also,  as I have said many times before, you can look anywhere, but you have got to do the research and look for reviews, either here or on another review site.

As yet, I have not had a whole lot of success with BP, but I haven't really pursued many providers off of there.

On BP especially, if the woman is not reviewed, I would stay away.

Also, use Tineye and Google Images to search the photos to make sure they are not stolen photos.  Many ads on Backpage use stolen photos of real models or porn stars.

through either TER reviews or another source, the provider gives a session you will enjoy, I would pass.

I echo what others have said here, most of us veterans have been on the short end of a bait and switch scam, that's why we came to TER in the first place.  Plus, Backpage is the new Craigslist so LE stings are always a possibility.

Certainly look for TER reviews but most ads will not have any.   Any provider that has 6 TER reviews probably does not advertise on Backpage anymore (there are exceptions, see my review of Stephanie in CT).   So why do it?   Well, Backpage is cheap and easy.   Most established providers on TER don't offer 1/2 hours.   Backpage is all about cheap and high volume.   TER is quality and certainty, its like shopping at Brooks Brothers.    Backpage is like scouring the beach with a metal detector.

The real downside to Backpage is that you just have to assume that the pictures are deceiving.  There are many agencies that pump out dozens of ads with flat out fake pics.  From experience I can usually pick out which ads look like they've been written by an agency.  Anyone pic that shows a hot, thin, young girl with model looks and offering $60 half hours is bait and switch.   It will likely be written like this:

 I usually look for the independants, the copy is simpler and the pictures are more realistic.  Even then, the pics, while real can be deceiving.   I do my best to ask the girl on the phone what she is like but in the end its a crapshoot.    This is where being in a large city can be an advantage cause the Backpage girls are everywhere.   Several times in NY and Boston I have gotten to the door, taken one look and walked away.    Then I take out my smartphone, look up the next ad and often find that the next girl is a hotel down the block!

Is it worth it?   In my opinion yes the hunt is kind of fun!   I have found 4 providers on Backpage where I was the first to review them - none are 10s but they are good for a quickie and priced accordingly!  

It IS possible to find a good provider on backpage...how? DO YOUR RESEARCH. Check her reviews,website etc. If you can't find much on her pass.

I advertise on backpage as it's a good way to pick up newbies who don't know about sites like this. Sadly 80% of the providers on there are fake, ripoffs, and just plain bad. But the other 20% is worth a look...but as said above. Do your research!

Backpage in my opinion is not a good place to find quality provider if you're a newbie. But since you know about TER you have other options!
