I am a true newbie, have seen only a handful of providers and have but a single review under my belt.

My experiences so far have been positive, but finally I had an encounter which was disappointing...not a disaster, but far from what I had envisioned by studying the provider's reviews.

I don't have any references yet and I'm a little worried about giving a bad review. Will I come off like an a*hole? Shouldn't I post a poor review to help the community?

Curious how many positive reviews hobbyists typically put up when starting out, before finally submitting a negative review. By "negative" I mean something in the "5" territory for performance.

As long as you are honest and not degrading or demeaning, then you can give any score you feel fits your session. It is when I would read a review that degrades the provider that I think the reviewer is an ass and not worthy of any further thought.

Tell the truth, tell how it felt from your perception and always remember, YMMV.

I wouldn't care if you wrote poor reviews.  You are allowed to your opinion.  I would, however, care about HOW you wrote it.  You can say "I didn't find her attractive, the performance was lacking energy, and I was disappointed with the overall experience" or you can say "she was 'fugly', doesn't know how to f*ck, and, even if she were the last woman alive, I wouldn't see her again"... the latter would make me not see you LOL

So, to answer your question... No, you will not come off like an a$$hole if you don't write like one

plan on seeing some more providers over the next two months or so, you can always consider holding off on the review until your hobby brain ripens a little with some more experience.  This is just a thought, and it may not apply, but if you are brand new, your expectations may become adjusted with more exposure to the hobby.  If that becomes the case, you may have a different take on the session you wish to review.

When you do write the review, whether now or later, be very honest, and as balathazar and jaydenn said, without being demeaning or derogatory in any way.  Keep in mind that the review is yours, not her's - it should reflect YOUR experience.  Don't worry about the references - if you earn them, they will come.

It is not the lady's fault if the reviews which you read were inflated by the writers. So - think about what drives your discontent -

did you not receive services that other reviews claimed?

was the lady not as attractive as you expected

did other reviews claim multiple orgasms and sweat flying everywhere, but your session was comparatively sedate?

If I am "YMMVd" I do make a note of the disparity between my experience and that posited by other reviewers.

HOWEVER

I think about the session I had with the lady, in and of itself, not colored by other reviews, before I decide on a performance score.

Lastly - as has been noted you do have 90 days to write the review. If you feel that you in all honesty should have a bit more experience to put the session in perspective, please do so.

I make it a habit to delay writing a review if my feelings are strong either way about the session, to give myself a bit of time to put it in perspective....

I've written a number of reviews...  7 TER ladies and a number that are off site.  I usually draft the review a couple of days after the visit...  and keep it as a draft in my secure e-mail account.  I probably read it over a few times before submitting it (cut & paste).  I try to be honest but fair.  If there was something wrong, I try to ask if I'm being fair or if it was something she did.  If there's just no chemistry, then that's fair to say.  Does not look like her picture.  Smelled of smoke.  wasn't into it.  Try to identify the reason for your disappointment, it will be much more helpful to others.
Do write a fair review.

Keep in mind the purpose of this entire site.  As I understand it, TER is here as a way for hobbyists to find a provider that will most closely match what they are looking for.  Honest, detailed reviews are the only way for that to effectively happen.

If you relate your experience honestly, detailing what you did and did not like about the appointment and/or the provider, you will add to the body of knowledge that is here.  If you decide to inflate your scores and/or gloss over the negatives of the session, all you are doing is diluting or degrading the true information available to future hobbyists.

If you went into the appointment and, based on previous reviews, were expecting something or someone that you did not get, then perhaps that contributed to your negative experience.  Wouldn't you have appreciated having seen a prior review that mentioned the negatives so that you could have been informed beforehand?

What if you were taking a chance on a provider with little or no review history?  If you do not honestly relate your impressions, then how possible future clients make a choice to see her and not be disappointed or at least surprised?

Remember, not every guy is looking for the same thing.  Hypothetically, let's say the negative aspects of you appointment were that she was too thin and a little too passive for you.  Some other guy might really like thin, quiet providers and specifically see her because of your honest review.

If we all worried about repercussions of our reviews, then we might as well not post them.

Caveat:  Obviously, this is all simply my personal opinion.

not so good reviews bring even more exposure than good reviews...

Sometimes a bad review / or not so good review adds character and doesnt make girls reviews look fake when they have a sea of 10,10's...

The main thing is to try to accurately describe the experience of the session. That's easier said than done. If you are a good enough writer to achieve that, you should absolutely relax and not worry about other reviews or what anyone thinks.

There is often "group think" when it comes to reviews of a particular provider. Look at the reviews in which the hobbyist got nothing but head but gave the provider a 9. Folks are "white knights." They want to impress the provider by giving her high scores. Those aren't helpful. An honest account of your experience is much more so.

My first 2 reviews were horrible but honest. Since then I have given several 'poor' reviews to highly reviewed ladies, most other ladies will respect you for being honest.

I find the number part of reviews can be misleading.  When researching candidates for my To Do List...  I've seen reviews with lower numbers than the lady customarily recieved...  yet the actual review seemed consistant with her other reviews.  
When selecting a "number" I look at the description that is attached to it...  and go with how I feel.
I don't reveal ever stroke but give enough detail & an accurate description of the experience.  The most telling is always my final line:  would I see her again.
