An excellent discussion on mediocre reviews and newbie providers/reviewers

I thought Miss Monet's discussion thread was an excellent overview of things for newbie providers and mediocre reviews.

Some additional thoughts. I hope others will add to this for our newbie friends.

- Sometimes a well written review with a mediocre score is better than a poorly written review with a high score. True, if scores are consistently low, the lady won't pop up in many guys searches. But a glowing review with no detail is useless, whereas a review such as dingalingus' review of Monet (http://www.theeroticreview.com/reviews/show.asp?id=166522) is full of good information, which surpasses the review performance score, IMO. The bottom line is that the scores are not everything.

- We all make posts from time to time that we might wish we hadn't. For me, it would be an NCNS post that would be better on the RO board, rather than the open boards. My point here is that I suggest considering which battles to pick and fight, or let go. For the ladies, I am not saying to let bad reviews or inaccurate claims go unchallenged, but too much (and too consistent) drama on the boards will not help you in the long run. The line here is about what is subjective to the reviewer versus malicious intent by the reviewer. There is a lot of gray area in there, and in those cases, I suggest keeping the battle low key or on the down-low. For the guys, don't go see a "safety girl" and write a scathing review that you didn't get your BBBJ, or go see a spinner and bitch that she had no boobs.

i like reading smart stuff

Well said. I especially agree with the point of don't see a spinner and bitch about no boobs etc.

The connection in my title? I notice many "bad" or "bashing" reviews begin with , I wanted to see lady X but she wasn't available so saw lady Y. Things just go down hill from there. Seems Lady Y has to take the grief for Lady X not being available.
