1. No tip is ever required, but it is up to you. I like to tip if I felt that the service was above par.
2. Yes, getting a hotel is expensive, but that is all a part of the game if you see gals who do outcall only. There are lots of gals with incalls, so perhaps concentrate on them.
3. First. Also be sure to read a gal's site to know exactly how to handle the donation.
I suggest you read the Newbie/Self Help Manual that is linked on this page. It has a lot of good information in it.
Best wishes to you.
mrfisher gave you excellent advice, as he usually does. As being new to this enterprise, I'd suggest you stick to well-reviewed providers. yes, outcalls can be expensive if you have to get the room, so I agree that you should start looking for incall providers. Preferred411 allows their providers to indicate if they are newbie friendly, which means lighter screening, I'd suggest joining there and do some research.
VIP here is very necessary for your research, w/o it you can not read the juicy details of reviews or see the ratings and fees for the providers.
Most providers, if they are good quality ones, will indicate somewhere, usually on their website, how to handle the donation, and most want you to put it somewhere where they can see it when you arrive.
Backing up to your first question, tipping has been discussed here many times, do a search of this forum for it and you will find lots of ideas. Most providers will not require a tip, but they always appreciate it. If you feel the service was top-notch, by all means, feel free to let her know with a tip. Many have said the best tip is a return visit to her in the future.
Def read the self help center ASAP!

Great advice from both of you. I'm trying to not go overboard in the beginning as I really don't know if this is for me. I have read the self help and gotten a bit of information. My first should be in call but I have quite a bit of research to do, and in my area if nc I have to travel 40 miles to do anything. Good to meet you all!
Chris
Also search reviews for what you are interested in then read all the reviews you can on those listed.

My experience with amps is that (assuming they offer the service you want.. And there are other sites for spa info like that), you pay the house fee up front, and usually about 2/3 of the way through the massage time ("the flip "), they'll ask you what you want (if there are multiple options), or just go ahead with a hj if they think you're there for that), or ask you if you've been there before if not.
The correct answer to that question is "yes ".
If you've fond your research ahead of time and requested a particular masseuse when making the appointment, that should get you directly past the "been there before" question, in my experience.
If it's a hj, you're probably tipping $60 if you're a good tipper, or $40 if not. For other stuff (if offered.. Do that research) they'll probably tell you
Feel free to pm if you have a more specific question..
Chris - there are lots of "legitimate" independent asian massage places, so don't automatically assume the place you went to was a true AMP. But even at many of these places there are "rogue" therapists who will give you a HJ. Just relax, be friendly, and go with the flow. If you are looking for more of a sure thing, then you need to research the places in your area. Ones that offer a table shower are a good bet - but to be sure, you should really read reviews of the different places. There are other websites you can find easily with a google search where you can get all the info you need (though like here, the best info will be premium). On the other hand, there is something to be said for the excitement of the unknown, walking into a place not knowing if you'll walk out with the "extra" big smile on your face!
Yeah I know I visited 2 about 3 weeks ago in the west era area of my state and had a good time. The second one I was pleasantly surprised! Set me back about $140.00... definitely would do again.
