P/T Vs F/T
Recently, I've spent a lot of time researching the business and have decided that I would like to make this my 'main' job. How many of you ladies, if any, do this part time? I have come to the realization that due to my jobs crazy hours that I'm going to have to cut-down my time there. I only started in March with FBSM, and have just begun GFE. What do you guys think?
In today's economy, it won't be that easy to get it back.
Clients would enjoy the convenience of being able to see you when ever they feel like it, but when you have a loyal clientelle, they'll bend their schedule to fit yours (as least this client does.)
The upshot is that you have to give it some serious thought and do want is best for you.
If you do, I wish you all the success in the world.
I think it is better to keep a regular job even if you switch to part time. It give you the option of switching back to full time in the future if you want to give up or cut back on escorting at some point.
First off, you don't show your face in your pictures which I totally understand.
If you give up your day job you will have to lie to friends and family about how you support yourself. Is this something you are ready for?
Remember that your lifestyle and money may change and others will notice it while you just become accustomed to these changes. Changing hours could be a red flag as well as how you spend your money.A new car, different clothes or spending money more freely when you go out with your girlfriends. People do notice those things.
Paying taxes and health insurance are another thing to think about.
Be shure this is the lifestyle you want to lead before you make any big changes to your life. Some are very happy living here on a part-time bases and do very well.
Go ahead and submit this question on the General Board and ask the ladies this question.

and I'm not talking about bras. It's much easier to pay taxes (they got Al Capone for tax evasion), get health insurance, etc. Some have jobs they can do at home, or consulting, etc. It's really good to have some legit income source...

I agree with the previous posts. Plus having at least a part-time job gives you a reason to keep a routine in your life. It's easy to fantasize about sleeping late and living the life of leisure. But the realty is that you get bored or start keeping late hours, drinking too much or worst eating too much. Everyone needs balance. Use this opportunity to do something you really want to do. If you like animals perhaps being a part-time dog walker or groomer, if you like hair - maybe going back to school and getting a degree in cosmetics would work. Heck if you like real estate - consider getting your license. But most of all do what makes you happy both mentally and spiritually! I've known at least one woman here in Vegas that stripped her way through her Master's Degree program at UNLV. She was in no hurry and it took her about 4 years to get through the course. Problem was that when she had her brand new degree in hand and stated looking for work, she had no WORK HISTORY to report (pole dancing isn't really a good preparation for most careers and listing it as an occupation would have gotter app pitched most places) for the previous four years. That bit her in the ass big time with prospective employers.
Bottom line, you are entering a business I doubt you want to do forever so keeping some kind of 'day job' even part time might be very advisable.

I've never seen one resume with prior work experience as a stripper. If I did, I'd certainly bring her in for an interview. I think that's why my boss keeps me there, lol.
Seriously though, there are many situations where verifiable income is important. Buying/renting a house, a car, etc. As others have mentioned, health insurance is another consideration.
you will get further and have more to show for it if you keep your day job. The market is in flux dont cause yourself more stress then you have to.
I think that the 'market is in flux' statement all depends on which provider you are talking to. Some providers seem to be doing better than ever, while others sit around and blame their problems on the economy.. just as folks in other businesses are doing. just my .02cents.
I decided when I got into this biz to also do what I wanted full time. I am a freelance artist and this biz allows me to indulge in what I want and desire to do without the pressure of trying to squeak a an income out of it. I get to dabble in my art and when its profitable great, when it isn't thats ok too. I take classes also so when I eventually finish my degree, and I am taking my time, my last 2 kids in high school will be off to college. I have time at home with the kids, work is what I want it to be, school is good as well. I decided to keep it all going just in a direction I wanted, more geared for my needs. I do although have a lot of hiding to do, of my time as well as income level, fibbing to family, my SO and my friends. Its true, people do notice, how I can afford a new car is a question I have been asked more than once. When you change a great deal those around you Do notice. Take your time and decide.
Doing this full time is also a very solitary life. Your family and friends are all working, and busy, you will find you are alone alot of the time with a secret no less. Believe it or not, you do get tired of shopping all the time. In a legit job, you interact with people regularly, you have some type of a schedule that you are forced to keep, it tends to keep you also balanced and in society, this biz tends to push you towards doing a great deal alone, it may not be an aspect that you have put much thought into.
Like said b4 there are taxes, and insurance to concider...I would suggest you think hard about this b4 you leap. Then again, you can always get another job if you don't like it.
