Remember escorts have lives, families, jobs, children, boyfriends, parents, etc. They are not sitting in front of a computer screen waiting for your email. Some work full time jobs, and are low volume, if you call at 10 am they may not be able to return your call until after work. Or they could be on a 4 hr date. There tons of other reasons why they don't pick up or respond quickly. If you leave a voice message tell the lady how long she can return your call. Many will not return a call if the get the message a couple of hours after you leave the message.  Relax take a deep breath it will happen for you. We were all newbies once. I think slow responses are normal. For many reasons, economy, you being new, the area you live in, many reasons could factor in. But its all about quality, not quantity. Let them seek you out, not the other way around. Doing so can make you look desperate.

So, you're new.  Here are some things to consider.  You are an unknown commodity, which probably puts you low on the response food chain.  Then, you canceled on one of the few that would take a chance.

But, to the real point.  Guys, especially those new to the hobby, tend to expect that for a few hundred bucks, the lady should be the consummate pro, including the part where they wait for your email.  In reality, many are not great at the administrative side of their business.  Others are simply too busy.  Still more are just fine at it, yet still don't respond as quickly as a horny guy wants them to.  As a horny guy, I know that first hand.

Thank you.  I certainly didn't want to cancel but out of respect for the lady, I didn't want to risk being late even more.  And as you said, I did give two days notice and she seemed to be fine with it.

You might have wanted to give her the option of either letting you cancel or allowing you to conclude your business and call her to inform her of your arrival.  Your instincts are correct that you don't want to be late, but I'd give the lady the choice of whether or not she wanted to leave a window open for me.  If she is really busy, probably not, but if it is a slow day, she just might.
