Hi new to this forum, and to the U.S., but not to this hobby. I recently moved here from London, where I saw many great providers whom I would be happy to review. The problem is this site's administrators keep rejecting my reviews. First they said I was linking to a web site they consider competition. Fair enough, but since that's where virtually every U.K. independent provider advertises, that's going to be a problem. When I submitted two reviews for women with listings on other websites (one at a Swiss agency), they were rejected again, this time because the women didn't have enough reviews. So I'm feeling a bit discouraged and not particularly welcome here. Looking at most of the providers reviewed here, they seem to be at agencies or have their own web sites (and subsequent high prices). That's not typically whom I see, and if that's who this site is geared for, perhaps it's not for me.  

P.s.  - I tried to post this hours ago, but couldn't find it on the board. When I checked why, the administrators said it wasn't posted because I mentioned the site (since removed) they consider competition. Not exactly a free flow of ideas here.

The government may not restrict speech ( except in very rare cases) but businesses are free to and would be stupid not to.  

No business promotes other businesses through its entities unless there is some quid pro quo worked out, which is very rare as well.

Stick around and maybe we can thaw out that frosty opinion you have.

on posting activity, reviews, etc. Moderated means you posts need to be reviewed by staff before they go active.

I'm less interested in discussing another site - if the administrators want to bar its name, they're being petty and small minded but whatever - than I am in posting reviews of the providers who advertise on it. As I said, there are literally thousands of providers in the U.K. who rely on it, and this forum's membership are being deprived of their reviews. Trust me, many of them are worth knowing about. It defeats the alleged purpose of this site. Further, what's the logic of barring reviews of providers who haven't been reviewed before? Isn't that the purpose of a review? What's the benefit of providing the 20th review of someone, vs. uncovering an unknown diamond? And, lastly, it's particularly irritating to be told you need to provide two reviews to achieve VIP status, only to find, for one reason or another, none of my reviews are good enough. It starts to feel less like applying rules and more like a shakedown to induce me to pay for a membership.

Over here, many, but not all, providers advertise on more than one site (including some allowed and some not allowed to be referenced or promoted on TER). The same might be the case in London. It's more work for you, but maybe you can find the allowed ads or ask / suggest that your friends consider posting such an ad. As long as the ad is up for a while (a month?) and until your review and Profile get posted, that's enough.

For example, over here, backpage is TER allowed (for now; it was banned and then unbanned). Posting is free. If you can convince your hostess to create something similar over there, you have an allowed link.  

Another possibility is to find her already existing ads on allowed sites. Use tineye or google-images to search for her pictures on other sites. If you get some hits, that could be your postable ad link.  If you need help with the image search engines, come back and ask for advice.  Image searching is used to lot to find fake or fraudulent ads using stolen pics but it also works for your purposes.

TER could be overwhelming for everyone when you first start give it a chance.

 As far as providers, agencies and high prices well let me welcome you to The United States of America my friend. This lifestyle is not mainly legal in the USA like it is in parts of Europe, hence the high price. If you stick to agencies chances are prices will be a bit lower, independents tend to be higher but if you utilize the review section and click advance search you can put what price range tickles your fancy and see what comes up on there. Just remember too cheap isn't good, in my opinion.  

As far as reviewing girls from outside the USA perhaps TER isn't for you as they focus on the 50 states unless the provider tours in that case it's different. I.E My home state is NYC but I tour in London and thats where we met, because it shows that I host in NYC the review will go up. As far as advertising other sites that makes sense, why would Subways advertise in their restaurant Mikes Subs or Starbucks advertise Dunkin Donuts? Doesn't make sense. Some members gave you good advice I would definitely follow their advice especially on reviewing. An uncovered gem, don't worry about it gems and blue diamonds are always discovered I'm sure that if the provider is that good someone will try to leave a review and be successful and then after that tedious work is done you can go ahead and submit your review. Membership prices are what they are and actually it's cheaper than writing 2 reviews a month if you ask me. 30.00 a month vs what? the cost of 2 providers you must be looking at $600 at least. That I wouldn't cry over. Once again I'm a provider and still have to pay the $30.00 a month, for the amount of time i spend on TER and the amount of posting I do you would figure I would get a lifetime membership but to me it's worth the 30.00 a month. They have a special going on now maybe you should look into it, definitely more hassle free than trying to reviews girls from outside the U.S.A in my humble opinion.  

As far as your post taking forever to go up I invite you to join the club. I'm an active member and it was just recently that my post were posted minutes after I posted it and I'm always online and everywhere. So please don't take that personally, it's protocol and it's nothing against anyone it's just the way the site functions.  

Feel free to use the self help center and feel free to ask questions you will find that there are a lot of members on here that are knowledgeable and that don't bite. You also  have a lot of ball busters on here so try not to take everything to heart when participating in discussions or you will find yourself frustrated. Take it for what it is and try to have fun.

...allowed but not by first time reviewers.  Previously unreviewed providers have to be reviewed by hobbyists who have at least several reviews because unreviewed providers can have a friend review them or even review themselves.

But as we often say here:  It's their sandbox and they make the rules.  

In any case, regarding the women you want to review:  Don't any of them have their own personal websites so that you can link to them rather than a TER competitors site?

One was to get TER to agree to run your reviews is to contribute to the boards on TER.  When they feel your are a credible hobbyist, they will be more likely to run your reviews

After my first attempts to review here were blocked, I managed to find two women I had seen who had listings elsewhere (one on Backpages, one I saw at a parlor in Geneva that has a website) but they too were blocked because they had never been reviewed before. I get that this is primarily a U.S. focused site, but if they are going to list international escorts, and if they want to grow that part of their business, they should make allowances and understand most women in the U.K. use a banned site, and most have never been reviewed. As for the possibility that I'm a tout or pimp, I understand the concern, but I think the language and detail in the reviews would indicate I'm not. It's not hard to tell a real review from bullshit.

As to the broader issue of whether they should allow the mention of other sites, I guess it comes down to whether you think a forum like this should truly be a place for a free exchange of ideas, or whether it's only purpose is to drive revenue. A forward thinking business would recognize that a free and open discussion builds traffic, and will eventually lead to more business. The New York Times does not ban mentions of the Wall Street Journal in its forums

My Provider Guide is free and not considered a competitor. There are free web pages they could use.  

TER might not be as "forward thinking" as you like but it has been around 16 years in a business where literally a 1,000 or more other similar sites have come and gone.

Some of the REJECTIONS were because you included banned links. OK. A URL is required for any review.  

Once you have a potentially approvable review, it will sit in the PENDING queue until you have more "cred" or until the Provider has more "cred".  It isn't fully rejected, just pending.

You get more cred once you start posting reviews of other previously reviewed Providers, maybe those you'll meet here in the US. Previously reviewed Providers have "cred" and that rubs off on you. If you post the FIRST review of a new provider here in the US, your submission might still be delayed -- NOT REJECTED, just delayed -- until another experienced reviewer also submits a review. The experienced Reviewer now validates your review and his "cred" rubs off on you.

All new members are moderated when posting to the Boards  (Forums). It can delay your post by a few minutes or even a few hours. Once you have a history of following the rules, etc., you can request to be dropped from moderation and post without delay.

Have some fun Stateside, write reviews, and your valid (no banned URLs) EU / UK reviews should be released

If you have a posting history & follow the rules...  you can request to be unmoderated.  If you breake the rules...  the moderation can come back.  Also, some posts are random moderated...  it seems longer essays are more likely to be moderated but I can't prove it.  

Some sites we used to be able to discuss...  we nolonger can.  Some have added reviews.  Others??  not sure why.
