Hi, all. Newbie here. I'm just wondering how long the provider referrals on TER for hobbyists are good for. Or do providers use the referrals at all when screening a new client? I'm just wondering if one or two referrals from a provider in 2013 would be of any use next year or the year after.

Thanks for any replies.

you have seen them in the last 3-4 month, 6 tops.

Gals have a hard time remembering after that long.

i cannot speak for all the ladies..but most have a 6 month limitation on referrals..some more some less..she decides..the OK-s on P411 never are outdated..she decides which ones to use..

I once used (and it was accepted) a 4 year old reference. This is of course an exception and not the rule. As mrfisher and mac said, I believe you will find 6 months tops for "most" ladies.

apply to a provider you only saw once.  If you see the provider periodically, the ref would be good as long as you are seeing her on a regular basis, I would think.  In any case, you should ask her before using her as a ref.

Thanks for the replies. I'm asking because my "regular" ATF may be moving on, and I'll have to find someone new.  I won't ask her until I know for certain.

...when you said "provider referrals on TER" (since TER does sometimes call them whitelist referrals.) the six month time limit the other posters mentioned would likely apply to them also. Though like one of them said about if you are still seeing the provider that whitelisted you on a regular basis then her referral (whitelisting) should still be useful even if it is more than 6 months old. Just let the provider you're trying to see know that.

ladies I see when I can. I also try to see several new ladies each year to help satisfy the variety itch.

My current ATF is $400 an hour, and I usually do three hours. I can't afford to do more than one session a month.

I'm sure jealous of the guys who have the money to see providers a lot more often. Twice a week would be great.

I'll mention the provider review to her, and ask if she'll post something about me when the time comes for her to move on.

When I check on references, most will specify the last time they saw said client. Leaves it up to the new provider to decide how relevant the reference is. Personally, I would need *minimum* of one year.

I'd just not found any new that were potential Favs recently...

Now  my longest running Fav is too far away with my current home situation where previously I could disappear for a 8 hours at a time & none the wiser (except for my grin).
#2 mature lady site is down, has apparently 'retired' from the business.  She had open heart before we met & recently had an extended hospital stay.  If I had known, I would have given a retirement present when we met last.
#3  Has much more limited availability as she's taken on a day job  (I certainly don't fault her for that...  she wants to get quarters to be SS eligible when the time comes.)
I had 4-6 years with these so I was very comfortable and they knew how & when to push my buttons.  I saw this coming but couldn't overcome my inertia to start new Favs.

So I am window shopping & putting a new bucket list together.
