The others gave good information. Please also consider what I've posted below to understand some of how TER works and where to find more information. Good luck and welcome.  

Everyone when they join TER is a basic member. There is no "Provider" membership, provider page, etc. The way to let others know you are a provider is to post ads on your regional ad boards, post comments on your regional discussion board (Be sure these posts don't come across as ads. They will be disallowed.), and participate on the Photo Only board. Check out the Self-Help Center for the guidelines for posting ads and how to post photos in the photo only board. The Self-Help Center link is on the upper right of most of the discussion boards under the red and white life preserver. Read everything there even the stuff for the guys. It's good to know all you can. The Self-Help Center link is also on the My TER page (tab at the top). It's at the bottom of the list of links on the left of the page.  
 
You can pay for a VIP membership. It will give you full access to all TER has to offer but it won't distinguish you from any other member. The things I mentioned above and the link spoken about in the next paragraph will do that.  
   
Once a guy has seen you, written a review of you, submitted it to TER, and it's been approved and posted you will have a provider profile page. Your first reviewer will create your profile when he fills out your information. You will then have a TER provider ID number. (You can contact TER and correct anything the guy got wrong or didn’t know.) Next step for you then is to contact TER and request they connect your profile with your TER handle (sarahchicago1). Contact them using the e-mail you signed up with. Their address is [email protected]. This will give you the free limited provider VIP membership. It will also give you access to the TER PM (private mail) system and allow you to read your reviews in there entirety. It will also place a link which says "See my TER reviews" under your handle whenever you post on a TER board. Guys can click the link and be taken to your profile page and check you out. The provider VIP will also give you access to the provider functions on TER such as being able to white list clients.  There is a Provider's only discussion board. You have to have 3 reviews and establish yourself on the boards then request that TER give you access to it.
 
Be sure to ask questions here. The newbie board is the place to get info. Use the search feature here  and search for discussions on what ever questions you may have.

methods just because some guy says he is OK and not LE, etc. If he doesn't want to give you the information you need to feel safe, don't see him. A few benjamins is not worth a real bad experience.

Also, stick to your menu. Don't let some guy try to persuade you to do anything you are not comfortable in doing.  Play safe.

Not sure how far into the industry you are (meaning if you have a website) but here are a couple ideas. As far as becoming a "provider" on TER the guys gave you the scoop.  Your own website is always a good investment of your time.  Some sites offer free websites if needed to get you going.  Preferred 411 is a great start too. It looks like you are in Chicago,  date check and room service are used in your area for verification sites also.  You do have to be approved by the sites but once you are on them a few more doors open.  Paid advertising sites like back page is an idea although I would caution use of back page until your screening is sound.  Follow the guys tips for TER and once you have your first review you will be given a provider ID number.  Make sure you put the TER seal on the first page of your website too. There are a couple of paid screening sites that are worth every penny!  Pm me if you need that info.  Photos are very important as you know!  Have a friend take some amateur pics if you can't swing a professional shoot at first.  Take many and be honest with them.  Its ok to hide your face (many of us do because we have family) but don't hide your real figure.  Whether you are 100lb spinner or 140lbs curvy babe there is a man for every type!  Do what you advertise, be where you say you will be and never forget every man has many choices,  treat them well when they choose you. Once you get familiar with ter and have some reviews the provider only board is the best resource out there!  Pm me if you need screening details.
