What would be a good way of seeing a provider who ask for employment references when you employ yourself what other info would it take

Check out verification services like RS2K, DateCheck or P411.

I am self-employed and, honestly, there is no set rule for what a lady will want.  Every gal has a different policy. Some will want a reference form another provider or two if you have no employment reference.  Some will want both. Some won't care, some will refuse to see you!

Your best bet is to contact the lady that you are interested in seeing and explain your situation.

Some agencies won't allow anyone to directly contact their ladies. An agency screener's opinion on a client is worthless to me; s/he never spent time alone with him. Also, many agencies won't give references at all -- they can be very possessive of their clients.

If you can get the agency ladies to give an Okay or vouch on P411/Date-Check, *that* could work. It's what I typically suggest to gentlemen who are self-employed/retired/students/otherwise hard to screen.

I am retired so have no employment records.  I am upfront & most ladies seem to be able to screen alternately.
