Agencies vs. Independents

I am just exploring becoming a hobbyist.

Can some experienced hobbyists and providers give me their thoughts on whether I am better off going through an agency or going with independents?

It seems to me that if I go with an agency, I may get access to 3 to 10 girls, while only giving personal information once.  However, agencies seem to collect an awful lot of information, which they may keep for other purposes.  Obviously, LE and blackmail are big concerns here.

I appreciate your comments.

If you can, book with an independent.  There was a post below that I commented upon where an agency was indiscreet, and talked too much...

If you are willing to work with a well reviewed independent on her screening requirements...it may be possible to meet with her.  You may have to turn over employment info, but the good ones will not abuse that, and you will have a positive outcome that may blow your socks off if you pass her test!  :)

Use your head, and do as much research as possible...the quality ladies can be ascertianed if you are insightful and smart.  Best of luck...

LE is more likely to bust them than an independent, and therefore your personal information is more at risk there.

LE gets more bang for its buck and it sounds better in the press if they go up against a big, bad agency rather than a lone, defenseless provider.

There's a lot of showbiz to this whole affair.

phone call back to the room when the time is up.  Sometimes this call can come at a very "mood disturbing" time.

Yes, that drives me F'n crazy!  I use two agencies in Boston, one does this and the other gives the lady about ten minutes past the ending time to call in on her own.  Honestly, I use the later agency much more frequently for this reason among others. It's a mood breaker and it also bugs me that the phone op and agency owner don't trust the ladies that they work with enough to let them deal with the clock in their own way.
