I know this doesn't apply to most of you because you meet the prerequisites, but why do you suppose providers require that their clients meet a certain age? For example, I wanted to see a client, but she doesn't see anyone younger than 35 (which is kind of arbitrary). What gives? Any plausible explanations?

Some providers believe, younger than 35 is clingy, immature and not very discrete. Vast generalization, but it is what it is.

Move on. You will find one.

Agree that picking a number seems a bit arbitrary, but I believe that it is based on real experiences. A lady I know tried dropping her minimum limit from 35 to 30, but she raised it back after a few months. The issue, of course, is maturity - not age, but the two seem to correlate. The issues with younger guys include attitudes and skills. They often act as if they are world-class studs who should be the one being paid for their services. OTOH, they may be unskilled, sexually, and their fumbling can result in pain and injury. Bottom line - too much trouble for the compensation.

Yes, you'll find that sometimes. I've found that I've started seeing less ladies with this requirement than back when I first started considering the hobby. It is what it is, and and there's really nothing much you can do about it. I some areas, this might actually force you to use agencies a lot more. All depends.

Maturity is definitely what the ladies are after. They feel it would give them less hassle, less headache, and more safety.

Another theory that has been discussed in the past is that younger guys tend to be more of a strain on the body of a provider.  See link below.

I think that is true but I'd lump it in with a guy's skills and call it "Older guys make HER feel better".  If she can fill the number of sessions she wants with either why wouldn't she pick those she enjoys more?

Two additional.

When there IS a report of a guy ripping off or injuring a provider it is usually a younger guy.  Often teens to 20s.

Many providers believe older guys are often more interested in repeat dates while younger guys are more interested in variety.  Regulars are safer, more reliable, and often more generous.

The most attitude that I've gotten are from men in their 30's and sometimes early 40's. One particular guy told me that I should be paying him! Really???

Of course there are always exceptions to this rule. I have seen a few younger men that were exceptional in both attitude and skill. These men came with excellent references and/or TER whitelistings.

First of all I'm 48 and been in this hobby on and off for 12 years. I've asked this question to providers in the past and they all seem to agree that men over the age of 35 are more considerate, thoughtful and generous. They are more likely to be regular clients and they will tip too. They have also told me that more mature men seem to have more skills and are also very interested in making the lady feel good too which BTW is always my mission when on a date and it's payed back very well.

Try and post on your local board and let the ladies get a feel of who you are. They will also get a feel of you by reading your reviews. I believe if you do this and just be yourself, more ladies will not mind the age issue. Providers can get a pretty good idea of who you are by your TER trail. You seem like a cool educated guy. You'll do just fine. Plenty of fish in the sea. Keep casting out your line.
