I'm not even a first timer yet, but seriously thinking of taking the plunge.  This is a great forum, and has answered almost all my questions.  But here's one I haven't seen addressed:  I am 49 years old.  I was hoping to find a provider at least in her 30's so I didn't feel like she was young enough to be my daughter.  I am also worried about how the provider thinks of me.  I am trim, and decent looking.  But I look my age - some graying, lines on my face.

Unfortunately, there are only a few 30+ providers listed, and none piqued my interest.  Am I too old for this hobby?

No need to worry at all

I am a bit younger than you, bald but also fit and trim. My face will not win any beauty prizes (LOL) And I have seen ladies ranging from 19 up to mid 30's. Most have been in the mid to late 20s.  A lot of ladies prefer guys in our age range, or 35-40 minimum. Even those younger than us.  Be polite, treat the ladies with respect. Know the boundaries and respect such.  Do not use explicit sexual terms in email or on the phone.  If you do these things you are going to find many ladies who will treat you like a king.  Broaden your horizons and do not worry about your age at all. The ladies will not care. Treating them with respect is the most important thing

there are many 30+, more than a few 40+, and even some 50+ providers out there, it all depends on where you are located, and where you do your looking.  (My top four experiences of 2005, all involved ladies ladies 34 and older.)  Of course, there are also plenty of mature, beautiful ladies in their late 20's out there.  If you can't find your first choice, be flexible.

As for your age, appearance, hair color, wrinkles, etc, don't worry, these really don't matter. Assuming that you are dealing with an experienced, well-reviewed lady, she knows, and understands, that is her role to fulfill your fantasy, not hers.

Arrive on time, arrive clean, or ask to take a shower, and treat her with respect.  Once you do this, you will have her attention, and who knows, your personality might even lead to a real connection with her, I know I have a few times over the years.

Okay, I realize the purpose of the hobby is having sex, not making connections, but I found that having sex with a provider who is a friend is a real bonus.

I don't know where you're from but here in Tampa there are lots of ladies 30+ (I'm 35 and look younger according to most gentlemen I see) who are gorgeous and highly regarded.

I did a survey in one thread and found that most of the hobbyist were a little older (see results below). This is probably due to more job flexibility and more disposable income. I agree with the previous respondents, but I also sympathise the concerns you have expressed.

I am 55 and I think if you decide to begin hobbying, you will be happy with providers who are 25 and up. Many of those I have seen are extremely pleasant and energetic and none have been condescending in any way.

You might also search other boards for potential providers. There are several of them although I tend to think TER is the best.

BTW - I took our total ages with out any adjustment for the childhood or adolescents years because most of us started out kissing and sucking boobs.

I am 62, and certainly no woman's idea of a good-looking man.   I am overweight by quite a bit, and I hardly consider myself handsome.  I have no problem with younger women--if I want an older woman my wife is also 62.  I have never had a problem with a provider because of my age or looks.

Most of the women I see are younger than my daughter, but it does not bother me at all.  They are not my children, and I recognize that.  And so should you.   Generally, I don't llike girls who are less than 25 because they do not seem experienced enough for me.

Just enjoy the hobbying.   Remember that it is for your pleasure, not anyone else's.
