You may not get your first choice the first time, fortunately, these are just temporary flings so it might even be better to not go with the one you are hottest for first. Some are more newbie friendly than others.
I am new to this site and process. There is one thing I don't quite get yet. How does someone I want to meet with verify me? I get the 2 call process envelope etc, I am ready to make an appt or two and don't want to get rejected because I don't know the drill
...it's the Self-Help Center. You can access it whenever you want/need to by looking to the upper right of most of the discussion boards. Look under the red and white life preserver.
Once you click the link you will be in the Self-Help Center. You will see a list of links. Click on whichever one applies and read.

There is a lot of info so I've chosen to show you were it is and how to access it because it would take quite some time for me to type it out and I'm sure I'd not improve it any so read away. I recommend you read everything else in the list too. If you have questions after reading all of that please do ask here.

Your board presence, i e, lots of posting, helps a lot. I won't go into all the ways the ladies use to verify us, as there are too many to name. The 3 verification sites, DateCheck, Preferredr411, and RoomService are used by many. It would not hurt to see which is most popular in your area.
Again, read the self help center thoroughly as well.
