hello

i am new to the game and would like some advice on provider screening.
while i have seen few and far between providers over the years those few are no longer active and were not long term relationships, so i am basically starting from scratch.

my dilemma is this..
i am one of those individuals who is extremely protective of my personal information under completely normal circumstances, no face book, linked in, twitter etc., being in my 50's i was never thrilled or interested in putting my life on display via social media. having a government job, being married with children, having to worry about a wife questioning a charge on a credit card makes me that much more paranoid about the need to maintain anonymity.

i am perfectly sane/clean and have nothing to hide, and i do completely understand the position of the provider needing to feel safe before seeing a new client, however i cannot even fathom providing a copy of my ID/work information fearing catastrophic personal ramifications.

i don't have the time or desire to invest in Ashley Madison or line dating type services.
might being able to build a relationship with certain providers who screen lightly possibly transition to acceptable references for verification moving forward?
i am even amenable to paying any provider i identify their fee for a "non play" meeting at the location of their choice to make sure we are a good fit for each other.

how might this site or any other screening site be integrated for acceptable references without having to divulge too much sensitive information.
what might a "light" screening from a provider entail?

thank you in advance for any advice.

You're not the only one.
.
Are you familiar with P411 (Preferred 411), a screening-only website that many people use? Search General or Newbie for P411. It is referenced a lot in passing ("She's on P411.") so you'll have to narrow it down to the "advice" posts you're looking for.

I wouldn't say p411 is useless as a screening site.  It really depends on the escort.  I still tend to book thru p411 and most of the time that's been good enough to secure the meeting.  Yes, some want a bit more info, but I'd say the majority either find it some other way, or just accept the p411 okays.

Women advertise there, for sure, but they also verify through that site. It is both at the same time. With respect, you lost me here Lexi.

But even then, some girls wanted more info. I'm not sure if under its new ownership P411 is as tight a ship re screening.

Many women still use it to screen. Lexi called it an "advertising venue ONLY" (her word) and that is clearly not true. But maybe she was just speaking for herself and her use for it, if at all.

Even if he signed up for p411, I'd think he'd still have a hard time not providing some form of real info to a provider that he's interested in seeing since he stated that he's basically starting from scratch (ie: no current references or oks). Most p411 providers who are "newbie friendly" usually require some form of real info.

I believe once he had a few p411 oks, he'd probably not have to provide it anymore because most providers would most likely accept his oks. But by then, he'd have already given out his real info to more people than he's probably comfortable with doing.

And to the OP: "light" screening can mean different things to each provider, so you'll have to read their website or ask for their requirements if it’s not stated.

I've seen 40+ women who are P411 members. Only once was I asked for additional info and only (maybe) three times I was asked if it was okay if the provider contacted one or two of my okays.

I just reached out to a lady a few days ago - according to a guy that I chat with on another board she's amazing so I figured I'd give her a try.

She's on P411 and my first move is always to DM there first. I sent her the DM and less than an hour later I got a reply from her telling me "thank you for politely reaching out - you're good to go as far as I'm concerned". That response is the norm rather than the exception, at least for me.

If you're brand new and have never been po art of the board.. here are a few tips.

1. Look for a provider that is newbie friendly
2. Read the reviews on her. If they are fairly similar. Your experience should be about the same.
3. Look for providers that have been here for awhile and have consitant reviews.

Once you bulid up a few references the screening process will be quicker. I think my best advice for after a few meet ups.

I try to follow certain hobbyists I trust.

For example lets say you are interested in a certain provider. Bob, a hobbyist you trust has seen her. Well, now you know its safe and vice versa. I hope this helps.
