actually contact them. If a guy can't provide what you need to feel safe, pass. It's tough for new guys starting out too but you don't need to put your safety at risk for any of us. It's ok for you to leave the new guys to ladies with more screening experience as you work on your own screening style. Never put yourself at more risk than you need to.

Hey Hun, thanks for your p411 (by the way, always, always, always have the person message you from p411 or TER or etc if they are using that as screening. Don't just take their word for it). Unfortunately there aren't any oks yet.. Could you please provide me with a recently seen providers name and contact info. If you can provide more than one that would be great. In a safe manner...NEVER do anything that would compromise your basic instincts or make you a little more  
"lose with what you say" until you know who your dealing with...for instance do NOT get tipsy when fist hanging out with a new friend. And watch out for one who would rather talk specific then try and kiss or touch. Always be aware of what your saying....it sounds like simple advice , but it can be hard -it's easy to not trust your intuition or to let someone circle or double talk you, just remember you can always pause and think before speaking and you can always feel sick and chose to leave your environment or end your meeting.

Some ladies are more comfortable sharing screening info by PM or email as they don't want all their methods made public.  
You did get sone good advice here already. Go with your gut. Very important. If something doesn't feel right, don't proceed! If someone claims they are a member of p411, TER etc, make sure they contact you from there. (anyone can say they are xx from TER but only the real person can PM you from here)

Getting references from other providers is probably the best screening method, and might work for this guy. If he is a total newbie, with no reference you can always say that you will be happy to see him later when he can provide references or p411 OKs etc. In general newbie providers shouldn't see newbie clients. Each gal develops her own system anyway according to her needs.  As has been suggested you might find a mentor somewhere & communicate privately.
