So, I'm debating whether to place an ad on BP even though I know it is the least reputable of places (well, right after CL). I've placed ads here and on Cityvibe and got two inquiries via the latter. At this point, I'm just dismally disappointed in the virtual lack of responses.
I'm also contemplating shelling out for placing an ad on Eros.
Feedback for the best places to garner attention for the Los Angeles/Southern California area?
Well, I don't know about Los Angeles but I can tell you that I never look at Cityvibe anymore.
Meanwhile, I look at BP and Eros pretty much every day. I'd never contact anyone I find there if I can't find any trace of them here, but I definitely look at both.
I have advertised on BP and as a matter of fact, I have an ad running now. However, I've finally determined why I keep getting SO much spam mail. When you pay for BP, it will ask you for your personal information- such as name, address etc. I NEVER release my real name. Instead, I pay with a pre-paid card and use a fake name. I'm receiving tons of mail, which is made out to the fake name that I provided BP. This can only mean, they're sharing your information to outside individuals...which are filling up your inbox with BULLSHIT!
As far as Eros, I advertise with them from time to time. I do get business from there, however I've found that a lot of guys is reluctant to give the necessary screening information. Just one date, will pay for your advertisement for the month. So yes, I do recommend them.
Cityvibe- I stopped advertising there because I've never received business from there. Of course, I think that can largely depend upon where you're located.
Eros pretty much always pays for itself even though the closest market for me to place an ad is Atlanta which is a 2 hour drive. During a month, I almost always get one or two traveling businessman from Atlanta who come to my area. So yes, it does pay for itself.
CV, hit or miss. Don't depend on it.
BP, I get a lot of response from it and I do get some quality clients from it. BUT I am extra diligent in screening the clientele from it.
