We can study the weather like crazy the day before an appointment and sometimes those weather people still don't get it right the day of lol. I'm going through that this week myself. Planning can only go so far sometimes where mother nature is concerned.

It was a sudden rain event that litterally stopped traffic on the interstate.  I tried to drive through & couldn't.  We cancelled.  
I was fortunate in I was able to get free the next day & rebooked.  I also made it a practice to allow extra time, find the call point & then withdraw to the corner coffee shop to pass the time.  Hanging around a hotel lot IS NOT DISCREET!   The re-booked meeting went off perfectly & I still see her when I'm in her area...  several years later.  

....I know, that my expenses, and then some, will be covered.  

Just because several gents could make it to you certainly does not mean all could. Maybe the ones who came by train could walk to the train station while ones that cancelled felt they were placing their lives/health in jeopardy by driving into the city or driving far to a station.

For instance, what is the guy willing to do in order to keep the date?  Bad weather would never keep me at home.   And on the other hand, we can find out how understanding the lady is in those situations.  Also, if the guy does have to cancel, the lady will find out about his understanding and generosity

I was the one in the car in the down pour, not her.  Litterally, most cars had pulled off the road & then the cars still trying to drive STOPPED in the travel lanes (which was where I was when I called her).  BTW, you CAN get ticketed (if you don't crash) driving under the speed limit in bad weather.  "Speed too fast for conditions" is what it'll say on the citation.    

Word is def out about your bait and switch tactics in the Carolinas. Must of been painful with all those guys AND ladies trashing you. How embarrassing!
