I'd like to set up a date with a lady and saw in her reviews that she sometimes does BBBJ while others she only does CBJ. I cannot find the reasoning in the reviews. How/when do I ask if I can avoid the CBJ?
Without more specifics, this MIGHT be a case for CAREFULLY referring to reviews. "Bert's and Ernie's stories are a little less exciting to me than what Tom, Dick and Harry describe. I'm really looking forward to a T, D, H experience." As I say, w/o specifics (who you are planning to see, does she have a Board presence by which to judge her personality and sensitivity and sense of humor, the actual content of the reviews, etc.). Or, just wait until you're in the moment and, if it starts out like Bert and Ernie (cbj), just ask if she's OK with the T, D, H experience (bbbj) with you. Good luck

you don't go asking menu questions until you're face to face with the lady, and I agree.
She probably looks at and/or smells a guy and decides in the moment whether to use the cover with him. So be groomed, washed and polite.
What her reasons are doesn't really matter. They're her reasons and important to her and whatever she does with you, don't fight with her about it. BB IS better, but CBJ isn't the end of the world and you'll probably still get off.
Another thing to consider is that some guys aren't totally honest in the reviews. There are endless discussions about why guys lie in reviews, but the point is it happens.
If it's that important to you still, PM some of the guys who reviewed her and ask if they know why she decided to go cover or not, if they paid a premium, etc.
Based solely on what I've seen said around here by a lot of people, I don't recommend asking her about it until you meet her.
If she has a website, read it completely. A lot of ladies are very clear about this issue on their site.

Read her reviews. This will give you a general idea of what she's offering. When you meet her then ask specifically what you want and if she's ok with it. Well that's what I do.

The latter, of course, is preferred by most hobbyists but I would be patient regarding inquiring of menu items. Some providers will go over ground rules. I don't ask that question until after the donation has been placed and we're both naked.
One regular of mine didn't say a thing about menu items on our first date. When I inquired she surprised me by saying "the only thing off limits is bare back and no anal on the first date...."
