So as someone new to the hobby if I reach out to a provider through both phone and text and don’t get a response do I move on from that provider or is it okay to try again at a future date when I am ready to make an appointment? I know many of the providers can be extremely busy and get tons of messages and calls but I’m not sure what is the right thing to do here. I’ve read the ads thoroughly and when there is questions I answer them. I don’t fall under the category of one line texts either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
In general, "no response" could be due to being on vacation, too busy (not just with "work" but also with "real life"), or many other factors. These days, it could be COVID related (temporarily not meeting people until feeling more comfortable to do so). So, it could be perfectly OK to follow up after a period of time. . Does this Provider have RECENT reviews? (You should probably start with and stick to well reviewed Providers anyway.) That would mean she isn't in COVID isolation mode. Or she might be working virtually (on-line Skype or Zoom sessions or other no-contact meetings). If there are no recent reviews, she might be on hiatus for any number of reasons. . Does this Provider have specific instructions on her web site about what sort of contact she requires? Email, voice, text, ... smoke signals? Some Providers can be VERY fussy about their instructions. If you don't check every box, you are ignored. . If you read recent posts on Newbie and General, there are stories from others about being ignored, too. . I assume you've read more posts on Newbie and General. NEVER bring up anything about sex in preliminary contacts: that's a sure fire way to get blocked. (Did you?) . If things do start to move along, read the boards for more advice: 1. How long to wait before following up to ignored messages? Two weeks is about enough to take vacations and such into account, but advice varies. And COVID changes everything. 2. How much personal info do you want to reveal during screening? 3. Are you willing to risk sending a deposit? (Most guys on TER would say, "NO! Don't do it!") . Ask more Qs as they come up. . Good luck! Have fun!

Thanks for the reply. So I’m definitely sticking to providers that have recent reviews. One is fairly popular and has many reviews the other seems to be up and coming. Some reviews but not many. Neither have specific instructions on how to reach out besides call or text. Is there specific things that are always good to add in your opening message?
I have read other stories and know to never bring anything up sex related. So that’s not an issue. I’m okay with a certain amount of personal info during screening. For the few that I’ve done I’ve felt fine divulging what they have asked but I definitely don’t trust the deposit have read too many horror stories with that. I think my next biggest problem is figuring out what all to say during the initial steps when the provider doesn’t have a lot of information son their ad. Thanks for the help.
If your initial inquiry has no specific time for an appointment, then most providers will ignore you. They'll lump you under the "time-wasters". If you did have a specific appointment request, then I usually wait 24 hours. Then I will try their email and politely let them know I sent an appointment request but never heard back.
If no response to text and email then that is a red flag and move on to someone else. Occasionally the good providers will eventually get back to you. In those cases you may decide to see them again or not...
I myself was gonna post a question since im a newbie myself this thread seem to fit right in,any advice I came across a providers profile i like what she was offering in service. its what im looking for but i cant seem to find any reviews of her online even on TER,. I haven't contacted them just yet should i even bother or move on?.By the way there profile where i found it is in one of the popular provider site i wont say the name but starts with T and ends with T the site normally doesn't display reviews so makes it difficult.
