A Forum Question

I have been on TER for a week now and I have observed some folks on another forum attacking each other.

I thought that TER prohibited this practice.

Did I miss something about this kind of thing that goes on in the other forum?

Please be respectful of your responses. I am not attempting to start fights.

Just gathering facts, that's all.

and quibbles and fights are going to happen here as on just about every other internet forum.

My advice to you is to stay out of the kitchen if you can't stand the heat. Skip over what you don't like and participate in what you do.

and as the previous poster said, "skip over what you don't like and participate in what you do" And btw have you been on the P&R board yet.

... Mr. Buzzard.

Read my response to him and you'll get the same answer from me.

I already know this is not Disney World, but I do read the forum rules, too.

One part of the forum rules clearly states:

"If your post is considered innapropriate due to being negative, trouble making, rude, and/or slanderous, the post will be removed."

I do not participate in a lot of the threads, but I did make the observation and wondered how do these people get away with breaking forum rules on a consistant basis?

It has nothing to do with me not being able to stand the heat, it has to do with following forum rules.

That's all.

How many times did you have to circle around that hillybilly idea?

Not understanding something as simple as the thread shows that you aren't very intelligent.

Devoid of useful intel, a big loss of humor and most of them are dead.

BTW, the poster who you are answering has been here for quite a few years.

selective being the operative word here.

At least your post was constructive not a whining post like a few others are.

Most of us know who you are, and you are no newbie!!!

And sorry swim, for getting nasty on the newbie board, but this guy is not a newbie and he is a trouble maker.

Did you drink a glass of stupid?

I have stated a few times already, I am a newbie on TER, but not in the hobby.

Go get a life and do something constructive.

Go get a life...get off the boards...change your handle...AGAIN!!

You are one of the most pathetic posters this board has ever seen.  You continue with your rants...post the same drivel using the different handles you've asked TER to give you since the other members have determined your instability issues.

Do yourself a BIG favor....find a new playground where NO ONE knows your history!!!

Did you drink the glass of stupid?

You are obviously mentally challenged that you can't respond to a thread in a nice way.

Not sure who this swim is, but hopefully he can see through the anger of this guy's post and make a rational decision.

You're right about him not being a real newbie.

Swim

And see if he can get a new board for members who have had to use more than 4 handles in a month?

Might be a quiet board though LOL

It would take a bit of time...but I'd be happy to do so and PM to you.

It was only a matter of time before this question came from this handle...I can pull up the same question...almost word for word on your prior handles.

It's tough to change a mindset, or writing style.  Work harder and you can stay UTR a bit longer.

Many of the people here are taking bets on how long it'll be before you post on YOUR favorite topics.  Right now the under/over is less than a month  LOL

Ignore the fucktards that rile things up, and ask your questions.

Simple as that.  You have been on the board a week, and already you are commenting on the board's policies?

While I don't agree with this mentality, the reality is that the people who are/have been here for a while consider it their playground, and you are the newbie.

Just ask questions, and don't get involved in the bullshit.  Too many stupid morons have done that, and nothing good comes out of it.

I have had guys PM me, treating me as if I'm a guy who gives a fuck about this stuff.  And I really don't.

Use the board to discuss relevant topics.  That's all.

ok, I had no idea that this thread would stir up the natives that much.

I was simply expressing my observations of how things were being done.

Like the one person said... it's selective enforcement. That's the most logical explanation anyone has come up with besides your post.

all the other posts (not yours) in this thread are nothing more than whining posts to me.

Oh yea, I thought that this topic was revelant, but apparently to a few "brown shirts", that's not the case.

thanks

One person needs to take the initiative.  Drudging up old, hurtful issues hasn't done anything but resulted in the same outcome over and over again.

You know the definition of insanity?  It's doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.  Every single time these stupid veiled comments come out between participants, things get derailed.  My advice is simple:  Stop talking about the past.  Stop talking about the interaction and flames between different people.  If everyone minded his/her own fucking business, things would take care of themselves.  Apologize if you offended someone.  Go out of your way not to offend someone in the first place.  Simple.

And the fact that you are a "newbie" comes into question when you start to talk about the natives.  That implies to me that you know the history here, and yet still want to stir up discussion about old, heated topics.  Not good.

Like I said...pay attention to yourself and conduct yourself in a way that is above reproach.  The rest will take care of itself.  You don't need to point out the enforcement of the rules, or lack thereof.  Just mind your own business.  Can't be more clear than that.  That's what I do, and people don't seem to bother me much.

And if they do, I really don't give a shit.  My identity isn't on this board.  It's in the real world.

Regarding the natives, my reference were to those people who have taken upon themselves to post flames in this thread. even though my thread post stated that my intent was not to start fights and I made that crystal clear.

Apparently, there are a few that don't understand that concept. It seems that all they know is how to start fights. It must be their tainted blood that makes them that way.

I have not offended anyone, it's the perception of a few that think that I have done so. If those people can't read a post without their nerves getting all tangled up, that's not my problem.

Since I am a newbie on TER, I have no clue what past you are referring to. It seems that for some odd reason, my posts bear a resemblence to someone else's post, but no one has stated who that was. I really don't care.

What I have seen in this thread is a handful of people who love nothing better to do than to control others. I will not allow those people to control me. If they are that power hungry, doing that on a website forum is the worst place to do so. Hiding behind a monitor only makes anyone think that they can bully others around without any kind of repercussions.

Like you said, my identity is not on this website, it's in the real world.

I've made my last comment in this thread.

Adios

Where did you get that?

Oh, I remember now... you got that when drank that glass of stupid.

lick your wounds and move on. The charade is over.

Ask TER for one last NEW handle.

And try and use all of mrfisher's quotes instead of your old personas...you know, serpius, capricornus and now this one (komputerpro in case you get it changed before this post is dry)...and of course we can't neglect your review handle of sunrosc.

Sorry mrfisher...but this may be this moron's only chance at staying on the boards without exposing himself for the miserable POS he is  LOL

sunrosc. And I thought he was done posing on this thread two posts ago!

Shit what the hell? I just noticed, Now London and I have to share that glass of stupid with Buzzard too?

Read that post again.

sunrosc is mentioned as his "review" handle  LOL

All of this strikes me as a "low budget film" where so many characters use different names on the credits...but they are all the same person.  Maybe time for Serpie to consider getting into movies?

but I didn't feel like editing mine:D (Maybe it's that 1/3 glass of stupid I am sharing with London and Buzzard. :D

Guys are baiting you, and you take it.

Not saying that you are wrong to defend yourself, but seriously...didn't you just say that this was the last post you were gonna make on this thread?

Drop it.  Or don't.  Because at this point I really don't care to get involved anymore.  I said my two cents...if it's even worth that.

crazyshit879 reads

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone.

I'm just saying that as a newbie, it seems to me that your pointing to the rules of the board is not the best way to express yourself as a newbie.

Mind your own posts, stick to the topics, and everything else takes care of itself.

There will always be those who start drama.  Let them.  You don't need to be part of it.

This entire thread is simply hysterical -- thanks for the laughs and show of human behavior --- LOL ROTF

Thanks for your comment -- Hop over to what?

I just find human behavior fascinating. Since the introduction of the www and message / discussion boards it is very easy to watch from a distance & very educational

Sophia

Thanks for the clarification -- being a newbie myself (well to TER) still figuring out the navigation part -- General board it is then -- thanks again

Yes the General discussion Board is scary for some, and fun for others. My point was that if you enjoyed reading this thread, you will enjoy some of the threads on the GD board. The Politics and Religion Board is quite lively also. This newbie board is usually a lot more civil. We try to keep it helpful to newbies who are here to ask information. This thread was an exception but there are reasons that it went in the direction it went. Some of the regional boards are lively, some are dead, some are just a series of picture threads. The "over 60" board is usually quite civil. Something here for everyone. lol.
Anyway, good luck, have fun here and feel free to peruse all the boards! :)
