Hi all-

I'm new to the hobby and have been reading some posts that mentioned something about a 2 call system?  I'm not really sure what that is.

I'm quite anxious about calling a provider and when I did, the call would end abruptly which I thought was weird.

I didn't say anything offensive but I was nervous since its my first time calling anyone.

Any hints or threads I can read on proper etiquette when it comes to calling a provider?

I prefer to stick to non-agency for now because depending on the experience, this may just be a one time thing.

I can try to enlight you in your phone etiquette. The fact that you were nervous might have set her inner alarm off. Also, I assume that you didn't talk about specific services because that is a big no no; it's sounds too much like law enforcement.

When you call an escort make sure to volunteer your information right away in order to  avoid any akwardness. Your conversation should start like: 'Hello Cleo, I'm John Smith 42 y/o Asian male. I'm looking for an appointment tomorrow evening around 7pm for 3 hours. Would you be available? I do have references or you can verify my employment at...' If your conversation is close enough to that you shouldn't have any problems. If you hesitate and talk about other stuff she's not going to understand where you're driving at and will probably hang up.

Remember that an experience with an escort is always unique; after all you are dealing with human beings. If your first experience isn't what you hoped for you might want to try again with someone else as it might be a better one.

Call #1: you call and set up appointment or call to confirm the appointment
Call #2: you call once you arrive at her hotel or cross streets and she gives you the exact number to her room, apartment or house.

If more than one provider has abruptly got off the phone, you're saying something to spook them.  Try not to ask many questions, don't be nervous and don't ask about services offered.  Another thing you can do is set up the appointment by email.

Nothing in the conversation included graphic or probing questions that might raise alarms or get either of us in deep water.  I'm not the village idiot.  I do believe its just my lack of experience coupled with my nervous tone and genuine concern for one of the providers cough that might have 'raised alarms'.

I appreciate the suggestion on the proper phone etiquette.  I will do that if ever I get the time, and courage, to call one of you lovely providers again in the future.

It's just that I've heard it all on the phone day in day out. I think you should really considere writing an email. It's much easier to answer emails and you can write all your references details, it's more to the point.  

There is no reason for you to not persue this. You will find the right lady or ladies for you. It's really a matter of trial and error.

You've already gotten good tips on the second call.  You should call exactly on time, from your car in the parking.  In a urban setting that may not be possible, but find some way to be discrete.  Don't sit in a hotel lobby being conspicious!  Anything you bring up should be in a shopping bag, gym bag, briefcase... Appropriate to your clothing!
