Thanks guys.....very helpful.

So the recommendation is to stick with providers who have 10+ positive recent reviews......how far back is it recommended to go, date wise, on the reviews? Should the latest review be in 2010?

Should I be concerned about connecting (outcall) with a provider who has decent reviews (6 total) but none in 2010? Some of these 6 reviews are from one timer reviewers.

There may be some issues there. Certainly enough red flags for a newbie to get experience elsewhere first.

You might consider leaving well enough alone.

If you find any other reasons for concern, like she doesn't screen, or any part of her communications becomes suspect, then bail and find another.

It's important that we all work within our respective comfort zones.

for the first time, get a well reviewed (+10 reviews) and then go from there.

The review history of the reviewers is as important as the reviews themselves.

I agree with the 10+ review rule but would add a provision, at least 3 within the past few months, preferably from established reviewers.

It isn't unusual for providers to take breaks so you may see gaps over the providers history but reviews within the past few months will allow you to verify she hasn't "turned" (unlikely but possible), changed her limits, or had a radical appearance change.

Good luck....nothing beats a well planned first time!

That seems to be a rather high standard. I've known several great providers who didn't have that many in  several years.
