Serious question, and no disrespect intended, but how do I make sure that who i'm seeing isn't a risk to me from a disease perspective? I'm new to the hobby and just want to make sure I do the right things to keep myself safe.
All you can do is protect yourself the same way you would if you met someone in a bar. Weigh the risks and decide if it's worth it to you, knowing that there is less unprotected sex in hobbyland than there is in bar pick up world.
Take it from me don't do this it will make you feel sick and just make you hate yourself. When I did it I use protection but stil I feel weak today, sick.It could be my mind is playing games with me or I'm just worrying to much or I'm just sick or I caught something but imagine all that I'm your head. This game is not worth playing if you don't have a headstrong head other options I would recommend is Live cams cheaper and fun if u have a cam but trust me you don't want to do this. I can't even look at myself I feel so fucking sick but I'm going to the doc this week to get tested 250$ down the drain.

You are begining to sound a bit like a troll lurking on the newbie board. For someone who tried it and found this hobby is not for him, it seems odd that you would want to keep hanging around.
