Any words of advice, direction, or guidance on the following areas...
1. Entry-level sites to advertise/post that carry the TER logo??? [My STG didnât make the cutTER does not host image files. The image files must be stored on a web site or server that allows public access and permission to see or download the pic. Do NOT try to post pics stored on your personal devices (computer, phone) unless you are a security expert. Instead, create an account on imagecoast or other "image hosting" site. Upload your photos to your account on that site.
.
An image hosting site might have a button or link to "copy URL" of the photo you want to use. If not, hover over the photo and right-click; you will see a list of actions; click "copy image address" or "copy image location."
.
Back to TER, paste the copied link into the Picture URL box on the message posting form. TER only allows particular file types, depending on the file extension: jpg, jpeg, gif, png are allowed, maybe some others. Sometimes, when you copy a URL, there is additional info following the file extension, e.g., filename.jpg%size=1024x768. TER will automatically reject as a disallowed file type because it ends with "768" and not "jpg." Remove the "%size=1024x768" so it ends with ".jpg" and it should be accepted and posted.

By way of example, I am pasting this link "https://static.nationalgeographic.co.uk/files/styles/image_3200/public/ngts_web_st_likealocal_awl_bul0430_hr.jpg" into the Picture URL box. When you are reading this on TER, TER sends a message to that website to send the photo directly to your browser so you can see the photo in this message. TER is the middle man only and doesn't host or save image files.
.
Good luck!
The URL of your test image is not publicly accessible so it only displays as an empty with a broken icon in it. The URL is a mess and doesn't even have a valid domain.

Try again? I pasted the following URL in the Picture URL box:

Thanks, imposter, but I'm done. I've tried to figure this thing out many times but it's way beyond my pay grade. Just leave me a few crayons and some scrap paper and shunt me off to a spot away from everyone else where I can't do any harm.
Don't try to post your own pics from your own devices (computer, phone ...).
.
Find a pic on the web. In fact, scroll up to my "Try Again" post, above.
Hover over the pic in the TER post and right click.
Choose "copy image address" or location.
Hit "reply" (or "quote") so can prepare a post. Type away.
Paste the saved URL into the Picture URL box.
Hit Post Message.

Crayons are kind of hard and sometimes pointy. Are you OK if we let you get started with finger paints?
each photo on your site has it's own URL. Some mobile browsers will allow you to long-tap the image and bring up a menu that will allow you to open the photo in a new browser window, but a lot of them don't. If you're using a mobile browser that does. On iPhone, he mobile firefox browser allows you to tap and hold an image, and it will bring up a menu that has a "share" function. when you tap that share function, you're prompted to select how you'd like to share the image, including copying the link.
That's the link you need to use in order to post a photo.
If you don't have a personal website that houses your images, you need to upload them to a site lie Imgur or photobucket. There are free and paid plans for both of these sites, and all uploaded photos come with their own URL so you can use the steps I outlined above in order to post a photo here if you're trying to post from your phone.
Tryst.link has a free one month offer, i believe. They also have a 'lite" subscription that is free, so you may want to try with them as far as an ad site goes.
Good luck!
