My phone number showed up on a site.  the www.thebigblackbook.ca  Should I worry?  Does anyone else have thier number on this site?

Was the phone # your hobby phone?  If so, and the phone is not listed to a name or address, there's little harm.  But if you have made the mistake of giving a provider your primary cell phone then you could have a problem.
Most mongers use hobby phones so their number is totally anonymous.  The only ones who don't are guys who don't give a fuck because they are un-married, beyond blackmail and all their friends and family know.  In other words, very few of us.  I hope you have not made this newbie mistake.  If so, I'd ditch your phone # fast, get a new one and also get a burn phone.
Meanwhile I'd do my homework on all the other things you need to know to do this as safely as possible.

WHY is this website even up? Is it a way to blackmail clients as well as providers? Is it used as a database to network?

Hopefully you used a hobby phone, otherwise I reccommend getting a new number.
