I have a separate one set up for this and it's under a different name. Just booked my first appointment (I'm about to throw up....LOL). Like a moron, I "signed" my real first name at the end of the e-mail. Of course, it's different than what shows up to a provider when they receive my e-mail so now I feel like an idiot. The appointment is booked, but I need advice as to the best way to go about this in the future.
I like the thought of being able to use my first name to be honest. It's hard enough to keep all this crap straight....I don't want to have to be that worried about answering to a different first name.
I may have made a stupid move. I e-mailed back the person I am going to see and said that this was an e-mail I only used for specific things and to book my appointment under ______ (my real first name). And put a "smiley" face at the end. I hope this wasn't a big mistake.
Been contemplating this for over 2 months and can't even get it right my first time!!
Yup. Get that. Just felt like an idiot because the name I put at the end of the e-mail was different than what shows up as attached to my e-mail address. I suppose it shouldn't come as a monster surprise to a provider that a client might be using a different name. She understood, though.
Looking forward to re-filling my Xanax prescription in preparation for the big day.
With the real cell and email the LE could find him with little trouble if they relly want, but why would a provider spend money to check it out not knowing it's a name, cell or email since she hasn't asked those questions in screening?
tell a provider my real name I start out by saying "ignore the Rick that comes with the email address". Several ladies I have met at M & G's have said, "I don't care what your real name is, to me you're Keystone."
Most providers are using pseudonyms, too. I don't think they give a shit unless it comes up in the screening as you saying your real name is John Smith but it really is Mike Jones. Calling yourself Mike when your real name is John Smith ain't gonna matter to the girl. You don't need to volunteer that info unless she asks.
I just my real first name, as well, but fortunately my real first name is pretty common. It's not, say, D'Brickashaw...
You are way overthinking this...are you neurotic much?
And being a newbie I've done the employment verification method for providers. I'm not too concerned with them having my real name...as long as they don't have my wife's name.
That was my thought as well, but most of the feedback I've seen on TER is that clients don't carry their driver's licenses to sessions (and aren't asked for them). Just what I've seen....doesn't mean its' the gospel.
the worst time of your life. Do you have a job which is security sensitive, such as hold non public information or information the job wouldn't want coming from them (eg. bank, insurance co.) and of course a government job. If you don't you have nothing to worry about. If you do, they still have to find out, which is the same as finding out your a hobbyist. The reason they care is that you can be manipulated or black mailed to giving out this information. Don't! Also, you can say you're name is another alias. You better stick took one or everybody gets confused.,
I'll give a provider my real first name to keep things simple and because it's part of m p411 number, but use a fictional last name. I'll also talk general geography (e.g. "NYC area") but not specifics. That's it. The rest is fiction. Besides me, the only peron involved who knows my last ame is Gina at p411, and I cut ally believe sh doesn't either since I cancelled p411 once and had to resubmit everything to get established again.
It would be awfully hard, but I'm 99% sure I'd walk before showing my ID. Making certain I'm not going to have some nut calling my house is pretty important.
